I partnered with a local wrap shop to add a custom-wrapped accent to my engine cover. It is a matte finish of the same yellow as the Lotus logo. I went through two other shops before selecting this one because of my particularity and need for the specific yellow.

If anyone is interested in the same I worked a deal with them where it would be $350 including return shipping. They don't want to deal with receipt and shipping, so you would ship it to me, I'll coordinate it, then ship it back to you, insured and postage paid. If you're interested just PM me.

Was waiting for someone to use vinyl vs painting. Really like this idea to add character to the lack lust engine bay.
My only concern is reflection, have you encountered any issue while looking in the rear view mirror?
Think there is a business opportunity for a company like Greg's to create a couple different designs a sell them. Shouldn't be to difficult for DIYers to apply at home.

Regarding reflection, I'll post another pic from the mirror, as I didn't think it was bad at all. That is why I had them use a matte yellow.

That was my first attempt was I bought vinyl and tried myself. The problem is the deep slot around the accent...it is very hard to get the edge looking perfect, which is why I had it done professionally.
