Hi, I’m finally picking up my car after over a year of waiting. The dealership offered PFF for full hood, bumpers and headlines for $4500 in San Francisco Bay Area. I believe this is too expensive based on my quick research. But I’d like to hear from the community here to see how much you paid.
Is it okay to drive the car home and do the PFF a few days later at an independent car shop? I’m not planning to daily drive the car.
Thanks!

I would not have the dealer do it. I recently had PPF (XPEL) put on my Emira in the SF Bay area for $2400-hood, bumper and front fenders only. The shop did use the precut PPF design as a start, but he modified it so he could wrap it more than the design called for. I then had ceramic applied to the entire car. the shop I used is in San Mateo. Another great bay area shop is Premier in Fremont. A bit more expensive and they are very busy so you'd have to wait a month or so. They do not use XPEL nor precut.
Do you mind sharing the name of the shop in San Mateo?
