Parking sensors going off in stop and go traffic

Same thing happening to me on the left front. No plate. Mine is a 2025 just received. Passenger window issue, radio issue, and engine startup issues. Loving the car. A bit concerned they hadn’t yet fixed them for 2025 models.

Oddly, my car has mysteriously stopped doing this (I'm at about 4500 miles). One of the most reliable places the sensor would have a mystery activation was the major intersection just down from my house. It would activate every time. But I do not recall it having gone off in the last 500 miles or so. Having the behavior change is even more perplexing.

Mine did too...at about 5K miles.

My Emira has the same issue since day 1. The driver side front sensor beeps on red (the "closest" reading) whenever I stop in traffic or on lights (once every 5 stops or so). Took it to the service center and they fully replaced all the sensors of the car and updated the software... and it's still happening albeit not as often (once every 30 stops or so)
Also, it used to do a full beep for 4 or 5 seconds but now it does a small instant one (less than a second), and I still need to wait for the graphic to auto dismiss.
I'm considering this issue fixed since it rarely ever happens anymore but I'm pretty confident it's a software problem since after replacing all sensors it's the same exact issue with the same exact sensor. I have also noticed a weird new behavior that every single time I pull out of my garage that same sensor beeps maybe half a beep long enough to show the graphic but not long enough to show the red mark of thr sensor on the graphic. Not sure what this is about but it happens every single time. It's usually ok cz that's only once a day as I'm leaving to work. During regular driving though it's very rare now.
Also for what it's worth, the service center told me they've had a lot of the same issue reported and Lotus is aware, didn't give more details.
Otherwise the car is amazing and driving it is a joy, so I'm willing to forgive this as it's the only issue and is happening pretty rarely after the fix.

Another me too here. Mine started playing up at the weekend after a year of no issues. It pops up in the display when stopped in traffic now and sometimes after starting up when there's nothing in front at all. The red line on the display goes across the entire front. I am going in for the annual service on Saturday so will forewarn them of this new issue. If I get a resolution I'll update here.

I had issues from start with my front sensors going off frequently, with out reason. Lotus dealership said that they sorted it but on picking the car up, the sensors were still overactive. Resolved it by, getting a slightly smaller number plate made up. Took off the plate bracket, bent it backwards, put it back on and stuck on the new plate.

Unfortunately a different issue with the sensors has arisen.

While reversing, thought I was a bit close to an obstacle, but had no alert from the rear parking sensors, got out to check and was really close. Switched car off and on again and sensors started to work again. Thought it was just a one off glitch.

That was until parking close to a concrete column in a multi story car park. This time no alert from the front sensors. My passenger got out and walked around the car and no warnings from any of the sensors. This has happened to me several times now. I also noticed that when the sensors fail, that if in reverse the camera is on but there are none of the guide lines.

Lotus dealership changed the diffuser, and said that the sensors hadn’t been correctly fitted to the rail.

Tested the car over the following few days but the issues still there. I know that you can’t rely solely on the sensors but it’s pointless having them if they only work intermittently.

I have asked the dealership to see if they can get something sorted, I’m no expert but it could software/electical or a problem with the module that controls the sensors.

That's a whole world of pain. Agreed, having them working intermittently is worse than being oversensitive.

The service centre fixed my problem on Saturday by lowering the number plate slightly. Apparently they can pick up a signature from that. Odd why it's only just started doing it recently but it's back to normal now thankfully.

437 miles as of today and my left front sensor has its own world lol.. started doing about 100miles ago or something.. It does not bother me at all as i never pay attention to parking sensor help.. I turn off the sound and im ok wt it.. when i go get my oil change i will get it looked at.. Aparently almost everyone has same issue lol
