Nitron Suspension Development

Too right it isn`t. The410Ex was 1050kgs as opposed to the emiras 1400plus kgs. Apart from dosing up on some bowel moving meds, I`m not going to bother too much reducing the emiras weight. I`ll stick to doing the usual exaust, cold air and JB4 upgrades to power, add some nitrons , and accept the embarrassing track times and blame my aging as the cause.
what BM meds you on:ROFLMAO:

Nitron elec-TRON R1 (ER1) and Nitron elec-TRON R3 (ER3) are now both available.

There are 6 settings programmed into the Nitron Damper Control Unit.
1-3 are in a fixed position with no active damping but perform like comfort, sport and sport plus.
4-6 are brought to life by the Nitron DCU allowing the dampers to adjust independently, changing and adjusting faster than the blink of an eye depending on driving input, Normal, Track and Race.

elec-TRON R1 (ER1)
Designed for fast road and track use. The damping adjustability is controlled completely electronicly on this model, no manual adjustment is used.
Price is approx $6,167 plus tax and shipping

elec-TRON R3 (ER3)
Our elec-TRON R3 is our flagship system. It has the external canisters which allow complete manual control of both HIGH AND LOW speed damping, a complete global damping change by the elec-TRON valve is achieved from a base point chosen by the driver, giving finite control and multiple setup opportunities.
Price is approx $8,695 plus tax and shipping

You can also add FAL for $3400 for both ER1 and ER3.
I will be ordering er1 + fal, along with jubu’s full monoball kit to replace the wishbone bushings. Just debating spring rates. I feel caught between club sport and fast road. May go for custom rates in between.

I’m sticking with fast roads if I go this route, that’s more than enough spring for mostly road use and a little bit of track use.

Given the fast road’s fairly mild spring rate increase vs stock sport suspension, I’m assuming you feel the adaptive damper will make most of the difference in terms of upgrade vs stock system?

Yup, but the damper can only do so much. Additionally I don't want to completely destroy the street-ability fo the car. That's just me though, if this is going to become a track car for you I can understanding going with clubsport spring rates.

I only track a few times a year. It’s my daily, but I’d daily a gt3rs. I dailied the 600lt and spent most of my time in track mode, in Hudson county nj. I’m clearly not well but 🤷🏻‍♂️.

My fear is I drop $8500 and don’t go far enough, am livid with myself.

Wish there was a way to try one out.

If you have the softer springs and not tracking too often you could close down the dampening for track use. It makes a big different in reducing roll. ...but if your track sessions are too long it could end up heating the oil up resulting in less dampening force and shorter times between service intervals. The reservoir versions would last a longer duration in terms of heat build up.

I also found my Nitrons start making knocking noises from inside the shocks when more dampening is dialled in. This may not be that annoying if used infrequently on smooth track use.

What rates did you pick ?

I have the fast road. If ordering again I'd probably go a custom rate between the fast road and clubsport. There is still definitely a good bit of lean on cornering, but you can adjust this to be less with the damper settings. I'm mostly driving on road and mid-setting are a bit fidgety at slow speed but I wouldn't say harsh.

For those on Nitrons, are you able to acheive OE ride heights or is it still lowered maxed out? Curious about the height adjustment ranges.

Thank you, this is really helpful feedback

I am in process of confirming this now. I’m being told that we can pick various default ride heights regardless of spring rate choice, but I want to confirm that isn’t only due to threaded assembly. I don’t want to have to compromise the spring travel length etc

I do not want mine lowered much, perhaps very slightly. In manhattan and northern nj, the pot holes and speed bumps and expansion plates make it so challenging, even with fal. Without, further lowered, it would be impossible/impassable

I’ve done springs on a few cars in past but never full coilovers, let alone custom, trying to avoid an expensive naive mistake !
