Lotus introduces Emira V6 SE and Emira Turbo - showroom debut in September 2025.

Technical updates, two new colours, new wheels, seat belt colours, new options.
Available to order now, showroom debut in September 2025.
Press release, Hethel – 5 June 2025.

Colours are Purple Haze and EOS Green.

The iconic V6 powertrain has been refined for even more emotional engagement, including the introduction of a new compression mount for the manual gearbox, resulting in more precise gear changes.
Also, optimised damper calibration and subtle adjustments in wheel alignment provide sharper handling and increased ride comfort.

Simultaneously with the introduction of the V6 SE, Lotus provides the existing Emira models with a series of technical enhancements that improve both track performance and daily driving comfort. The cooling system has been optimised by routing the coolant lines differently, providing better flow to both the transmission oil cooler and the main cooling radiator. This results in more cooling and lower vehicle weight. In addition, the air-conditioning control system has been recalibrated to provide a more stable interior climate at high temperatures, and the opening temperature of the engine thermostat has been increased from 65°C to 75°C, improving heating and performance under severe conditions. Finally, the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) has been recalibrated, resulting in faster shift times, improved shift quality and smoother interaction between transmission and driver.

In terms of safety, the Lotus Emira is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as standard. On top of that, there is the option of an Extended Co-Driver Pack for extra support. Standard features on the model include Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) and Fatigue Detection. The optional Extended Co-Driver Pack adds Adaptive Cruise Control (only compatible with automatic transmission), Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning and High Beam Assist. All these systems are designed to enhance safety without compromising the sheer driving pleasure that characterises the Emira. A user-friendly menu allows the driver to set the desired level of assistance entirely according to his or her preferences.

Well not really cheaper if I can get it OEM for 410 and dont have to remove and mount again :-) but yeah, for existing owners it looks like a good option.

yeah thats what I meant, existing owners. and if existing owners want different colors for example I would want white seatbelts

That is the most pathetic press release I've ever seen. A news release with no actual news.

Lotus revolutionizes the sports car world once again by introducing improvements that take the Lotus Emira sophistication and performance to astounding new levels!

1) One stiffer motor mount because the original one wasn’t stiff enough

2) Rerouted coolant lines that work better than the original coolant line routing

3) A thermostat that opens at a different temperature

4) New suspension alignment settings that work better than the original alignment settings

5) Optional “Racing Line” version that has a pinstripe that looks cool

6) SE badging because the S means special and so are you if you buy one

Having a bad day?

Surely the colour choices for the seat belts would swing it?

So does anyone know if/when these colors will be available in the US? Historically does US get all changes/updates that are announced?

Interesting on the cooling updates they did. Wonder where they got that idea as JUBU has had that out for awhile now and I just did the cooling upgrade on mine. More to come as I’m hopefully picking up the car today after the new 460 kit is in. I do love the green thou!
Which one did you do, the hoses or the thermostat/pulley?

I did both!

My shop took almost 10 hours to install it! The manual says to drop the motor, JUBU told them they don’t have to. JUBU states it’s a 2 hour job but they know what they are doing. Shop gave me a discount for the work but still way more that I expected!

The bad news…😢

-idk what happened but after I picked up from the shop yesterday I drove it to get gas and when I got in the highway, engine overheat warning and smoke from the engine! Hose came off on the top as clamp disconnected. Idk how but shop took care of the tow truck and got it done today. Coolant caused the smoke but sucked on the side of the highway for over an hour. Shop is making it right with future discount.

-I don’t blame the clamps I think could have been install idk. They did new clamps to be save and they made sure to bleed it out as instructed slowly and no air pockets.

But ensure the clamps are good!!

The great news 😀

My new engine operating temperature is 175! It’s amazing! I was on the JUBU 440 and without the cooling I was at 183-185 operating temp. I recently just did the 460 kit and did the cooling with it that’s been sitting in my closet for a year lol and now have dropped another 8-10 degrees which is huge!

I'm told the original car was supposed to have adaptive cruise control and the hardware is there, but they couldn't get the software sorted in time. So hopefully that comes to older cars.

Other changes like when the thermostat opening earlier to improve cooling might also be in software.

The DCT gearbox improvements they're talking about is also probably the software they updated last year. I doubt they've updated any hardware on the AMG gearbox.

According to the article, the new thermostat opens later, not earlier 🤷‍♂️
the opening temperature of the engine thermostat has been increased from 65°C to 75°C, improving heating and performance under severe conditions
