Lotus introduces Emira V6 SE and Emira Turbo - showroom debut in September 2025.

Technical updates, two new colours, new wheels, seat belt colours, new options.
Available to order now, showroom debut in September 2025.
Press release, Hethel – 5 June 2025.

Colours are Purple Haze and EOS Green.

The iconic V6 powertrain has been refined for even more emotional engagement, including the introduction of a new compression mount for the manual gearbox, resulting in more precise gear changes.
Also, optimised damper calibration and subtle adjustments in wheel alignment provide sharper handling and increased ride comfort.

Simultaneously with the introduction of the V6 SE, Lotus provides the existing Emira models with a series of technical enhancements that improve both track performance and daily driving comfort. The cooling system has been optimised by routing the coolant lines differently, providing better flow to both the transmission oil cooler and the main cooling radiator. This results in more cooling and lower vehicle weight. In addition, the air-conditioning control system has been recalibrated to provide a more stable interior climate at high temperatures, and the opening temperature of the engine thermostat has been increased from 65°C to 75°C, improving heating and performance under severe conditions. Finally, the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) has been recalibrated, resulting in faster shift times, improved shift quality and smoother interaction between transmission and driver.

In terms of safety, the Lotus Emira is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as standard. On top of that, there is the option of an Extended Co-Driver Pack for extra support. Standard features on the model include Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) and Fatigue Detection. The optional Extended Co-Driver Pack adds Adaptive Cruise Control (only compatible with automatic transmission), Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning and High Beam Assist. All these systems are designed to enhance safety without compromising the sheer driving pleasure that characterises the Emira. A user-friendly menu allows the driver to set the desired level of assistance entirely according to his or her preferences.

Nothing on prices... The red seatbelts look nice. Don't care for the wheels, too gimmicky. Looks like the badges are black now, no more yellow. Interesting.

Finally the promised adaptive cruise. Wonder if it will be available in the USA?

Press release only mentions UK and Euro (Germany) prices.. I'm sure these updates will be coming to North America too.

The Racing Line updates are interesting.. Still waiting on the carbon bits though.. 🤔

Racing Line

Finally, Lotus launches the Racing Line. For enthusiasts who want to give their Emira an extra sporty look, Lotus introduces the Racing Line design option, available on the Turbo SE and V6 SE. Racing Line adds a subtle, lower pinstripe in yellow, red or silver, perfectly matched to the colour of the brake callipers - the mirror caps get the same accent colour. Racing Line badges with a matching accent, high-gloss black wheels and a black and silver exterior logo complete the dynamic look. Inside, it is further enhanced by a special interior badge and stitching in the chosen accent colour, creating a perfect match.

The racing line looks like what I and others did on their FE's, with the exception of the top of the side mirrors being colored. I think it would have looked better with a racing line on the side of the mirror. The interior looks nice though.

Both the two new colours are very nice. That purple may be my second choice now after yellow - although I don't think there is a colour yet I've seen that the Emira doesn't look stunning in.

I wonder if any of these upgrades are software only ones that work with existing First Edition hardware - such as Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning - that we may get in a later patch?

Also I wonder if any of these are available as an aftersales option for First Edition cars - I wouldn't mind the Blind Spot Warning mirrors (or the better/lighter cooling)

Might be for the auto only, idk if the manual could get the blind spot warning in the mirrors but could be wrong.

I wonder if the gearbox mounting significantly improves shifting quality, the current 1-2 shift at speed is really foxtrot umbrella....

Loving the look of the new Facelift SE V2 Emira.

In the UK I'm told they will be £96,500 before options (for V6 manual), and expect them to be easily over £100K with a few options. The pinstripe design is £3K alone, and the previous First Edition kit is another £10K, but you don't need all of it.

Will this finally silence the experts who "know for a fact" that Lotus has ended or is about to end production of the V6?
😁
That BS rumour has been doing the rounds since the car came out. The dealer at Glasgow in the UK even told me last year they had the last V6 Emira cars that would ever be made :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Anything for a sale.
