Lightweight battery

Just fitted an interesting option for those in the UK. The price was just too good for me not to give it a try!

Predator SureStart, 40Ah, 1200 CCA, 6.9kg... 200 quid

After a bit of research, and some direct questions on suitability to the helpful mob at JustBatteries.co.uk, I sourced mine via their eBay storefront (they were running a promotion there for 10% off at the time).

I originally tried to fit the 56Ah variant, but the casing was ever so slightly too long to fit, so I returned that and grabbed the 40, which is slightly smaller than the stock battery.

Fits easily (obviously), fired eagerly on first startup, voltage is a solid 13.28 at rest (I have a remote monitor hooked up).

EDIT: added data sheet to save people rummaging around for it

Just purchased from same supplier via eBay for £125! Fitted with no issues today. I can confirm that it’s the same depth, so fits the clamps fine, and it a little less wide. However, the “bump panel” is still required.
