Let's talk about the Emira's seats...

Thank you for doing this video, the feedback is invaluable and although you have an old version of the instructions there, I will certainly be reviewing the content. There seemed to be alot of confusion on the spacers but the key is with fitting any of the Tillett seats into the Emira, is to make sure the spacers are altered to measure 40.5 cm across the runner holes before offering it in the car.
I must say it made me cringe looking at the seats resting on concrete and against brick walls.

No worries! Once you have figured it out, you realize how easy it is.... figuring it out initially is the 35 piece puzzle though. I initially wasn't sure if the mounts were universal (I assumed they were) or set up for specific sides. The spacer piece was confusing because there were so many provided. The seats were already preset with the right amount, but there were less aluminum ones than stated, and if they were preset, I was surprised to receive more. I also wasn't sure if my directions were B10 or B10XL specific.

Long story short, maybe I was confusing myself more than the directions being confusing. The second set was put together in minutes.

As for the seats. I agree. Had I not had my Zenos on the lift, I would have done this in the garage and on the work bench. They are fine though.

@Steve Tillett What is the deal with the slider handle? I may attempt to drill a hole in it and put a cotter pin through. It pops off almost every time I pull it. Am I missing something?

You have not pushed them right in. I can see from the video that they are only half way. Tap them with a rubber hammer until they fully push that spring in.

Yeah I had one side of my handles jam because I didn’t insert them evenly, and eventually I was stuck with a handle that would come out when I pulled on it.

I’d recommend removing them, then seating them with a rubber mallet evenly alternating each side until the spring fully seats.

It’s perfect now!

This is helpful, so I've been seating them down to the horizontal "wire." This image makes it appear as though it should go over or "bend" that wire within the handle to add pressure to the lever? Does that add up?

Yes, the wire is what locks the handle on.

Savanna you're in MD right? I would like to meet up one day if you don't mind me just sitting on the seats. I've always wondered how comfortable Tillets are for an extended drive.
