Figured might as well do it right the first time. In my Alfa 4C, went with KW 2-ways as an early adopter when they were first released. More coilover development happened over the next years making me FOMO. Lol.

So decided to just do it right the first time with the Emira. The Emria stock bodyroll is not what I’m used to coming from CF monocoque and squat square stance in my 4C. Some might consider this overkill but dont want to shouldve/couldve/wouldve now or in the future. :)

Ordering process:
1. Contacted the great folks at Jubu, order submitted, invoice received and money wire information provided.
2. Wired money through my bank (bank rep made sure not phone scam situation that is common here in US with iPhone/Norton antivirus/ebay scams)
3. Took about 4 weeks to build coilovers to spec. I went with Sport and Trackday setup with -15mm drop options.
4. Shipped via UPS. Okay, FYI, so for any import shipment over $2500, US Customs requires “Formal Entry” which requires submission of social security number or tax ID number of receiver. i received an email from UPS shipping broker stating US Customs requires SSN or TID and shipment will be held up until this information is provided. Now with ID theft rampant and common here in the US, i wasnt about to reply to that email with my SSN. First UPs customer service rep i called had no clue what that email was about. Second UPS rep i called a day later said she would message the broker company to call me. When UPS shipping broker called, I was still a little anxious giving my SSN to a complete stranger. But the original email and the subsequent phone call from the UPS shipping broker did include an attached invoice with explicit order, shipping to and from, waybill tracking number, product description and declared value amount which helped ease my anxiety a bit. So the email was legit for those who plan to import and clear US Customs. Update status of Customs Clearance on UPS tracking changed within an hour of that call releasing it from Customs.
5. Then came the email from UPS about import tax due prior to final delivery. Ok, i did my part supporting the US government and paid this 10% import tax. But….brutal. $800. Oh well. Pay to play i guess….i mean i was expecting it before ordering.
6. But overall, very happy with the Jubu experience but just wanted to share my experiences with the process for others. :)
7. i will install these in the next few weeks when i have some time, according to the Service Manual, seems very straight forward. Then will get alignment. Exciting!

Look forward to hearing your impressions on ride and handling once installed. These do look amazing!

Congratulations! I ordered JUBU splitter, spoiler & louvre and I got hit with another $700 myself when I went through the same thing. Got the bill from UPS a month later. This is of course, after the shipping charges, as well.
I am deciding between this exact setup & Nitron coilovers. Where are you located & where will you track?

I am in Ohio. Mid Ohio is my home course but I also love Pitt Race and Watkins Glen.

Best Way to do it, however if I go this way I will go with the 3 ways for high speed adjustability to work on ride comfort more so.

Keen on your impressions once fitted for a while. Should be a total game changer.

thanks for giving details on this I'm also in the works on getting stuff from JUBU

I'll be kart racing in Quaker city motorsports park from July 11 to 13 near you. If you like to track this is the best bang for your buck, on a professional level, and very physically demanding. Let me know if you con attend any day for a few hours. www.starschampionshipseries.com
I will be tracking my Emira at Watkins Glen on my birthday with www.nasane.com if you, or anyone esle want to join me, on October 11 and 12.
It would be a great comparison to see the diffences in lap times with full JUBU aero and sport supensionand sports suspension on my car versus your car.
Can you attend and what other modifications have you done to your car?

I would be driving my car to many tracks from 3 to 5 hours. Are you saying that the adjustablity of the 3 ways will allow me not have a harsh ride on the raods versus the 2 ways if I adjust it properly? I assume that I will change the settings once I get to the track as well.
Please explain in detail and which JUBU suspension would you select?

Also deciding on Nitron and these are the choices based on your 3 way recommendation.
Right now, I'm leaning towards Ohlins with JUBU because they have done track testing and have dialed things in to give me a good starting point.
Moton is another choice as well. I would like others who track, to comment as well, because I feel everyone is waiting for feedback before they make such an expensive purchase.

So from my experience I fit the Ohlins 3 ways from Statis Engineering who used to race Audis. They had also "dialed them in" shall we say. They were the top level they sold and best I knew of that were available. I fit them to 2 cars, RS4 and an S3. The spring rates they were able to run were way higher than standard and anything else which transformed them to being great on the track and road. This was what I was told was due to the high speed dampening able to be adjusted to suit a quicker response for harsher bumps,(etc road) to give a more compliant ride and giving the maximum benefit of a much better sport/race setup. Without the higher speed reaction you wouldnt beable to run a higher spring rate without unduly affecting the ride.

It would be interesting to see what Jubu sais.

As usual as much as everyone would like the cheaper solution to be the best it rarely is.
