I literally bought seven dash cams until I found the one I wanted. I selected the Anyski 4K and am very happy. Couple reasons I selected this one:
-I didn't want a video screen as I see that as a distraction (this one goes black after a user-selected time)
-I wanted a very slim version so I could mount it on the left side (to get good video in the event of a traffic stop)
-It needed a clean setup (no big cords, adapters, etc)
-The app needed to work well, and the mfr needed to provide good support
-I wanted three channels
-It needed to have sentry mode with battery protection (automatically disable if voltage is too low)

Although I could have powered it from the USB port in the mirror, I wanted 'sentry mode' so it would record when the ignition was off. Every single camera with this feature requires an accessory cable so it can have 'always on' and 'accy on' power leads. This company was AWESOME, emailed them upon receipt of the camera and the accy kit showed up three days later. And the kit is perfect. It includes special modules so that you can pull the accy and always-on power directly from some fuse slots, without interrupting their function or having to do any wire splicing. I used the fuse slots for the passenger seat motor (for always on) and the mirror USB for accy power. It is installed and working great, feel free to PM me if I can help any of you.

Sorry, just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum, I'll move it to the electronics one.

About 2-3 hrs. But I am really particular, a regular person could probably do it in half that. 😁

No worries! I moved it for ya.

Great write up btw! I run a hardwired BlackVue cam and battery backup for parking mode.

That battery backup is a must. I ran a blackvue without the battery backup on a work truck for a year and it crushed the stock battery to where startups were a gamble. For the Emira I think Im going to run Garmin Mini 3s. Im hoping I can get some good side angles and run 4 of them.

Hi I was running a black vue and external battery on my Supra, and want to install it on the emria now, how was the install? What fuses did you tap, also where did you place the external battery?

could you take a wider view picture of the install from the inside and outside. Like to see how much room it takes up.
Looks good. reasonable price

I have a pinned story on my Instagram that covers the important parts of the install. It's basically the same for the Emira, unless you just want to plug into the usb port in the rearview mirror.

Here are some other pics of the install. By the way, got pulled over last night by a state trooper. Had no idea why he was pulling me over, then he said it was really just an excuse to see the interior (I stopped after the stop line at the previous intersection). Never had that happen in my 30 years of driving. We also chatted for a bit about the color because Verdant Green is just listed as 'green' by the DMV and he was confused because it looked black until he got up to it. I had my 17 year old son with me, turned into a cool story.
