Thank you for that. I'm in for one in Canada.

I checked mine yesterday, boy it was cracked everywhere, I put tons of duct tape to hold it together for now. Cant wait!

Just spoke to my dealership about an unrelated issue and asked what Lotus were up to for a more permanent solution to this. Response was:
No news of anything coming from Lotus to overcome this issue, except the continued use of the membrane/bib we all know and loathe.

Gotta love Lotus' approach to customer service

Hi folks!

I found a manufacturer that can cut EPDM (basically fancy, durable rubber) sheets to my specifications.

These sheets are used to replace the low-quality "Water Membrane" that Lotus installs, which are keen to disintegrate. They are installed to prevent water ingress on the expensive HVAC
electronics under the front hood. My design spans side to side instead of just covering one half, so you're fully protected.

Thanks so much for the diagram. I’m guessing all measurements are centre meters. Do you have a final pattern yet?

Please don't discuss here if you have questions or additions about the membrane topic, but keep the designated thread alive: https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/water-membrane.8077

I'm posting this in case my post in the other thread didn't reach everyone interested.
I'm trying to get a feeling for how many people would buy a sheet and where in the world it would need to be shipped, and prepared a mini-poll for that.
No log-in, payment, names, or binding orders required. I'll have to get myself listed as a vendor for that first. This is only to get an overview of quantities and shipping options.
Pricing would probably be less than 80€.

I also have the option of 1mm or 1.5mm sheets. My test sheet was 1.3mm, which is plenty sufficient, but that's not available. I think 1mm will be fine and even a little bit easier to handle and install, while saving 25% weight, which results in better shipping conditions and, of course, a lighter car ;)
I'll attach a poll for the thickness directly to this thread, so please do both :)

Here's the technical drawing so you can get an idea. It'll be slightly adjusted and redrawn to scale for the final design, however:

And my test sheet installed:

Thanks!

Haven't check my membrane, but pretty sure it is trashed... Will take one! (Canada)
