Hi folks!

I found a manufacturer that can cut EPDM (basically fancy, durable rubber) sheets to my specifications.

These sheets are used to replace the low-quality "Water Membrane" that Lotus installs, which are keen to disintegrate. They are installed to prevent water ingress on the expensive HVAC electronics under the front hood. My design spans side to side instead of just covering one half, so you're fully protected.

I'm posting this in case my post in the other thread didn't reach everyone interested.
I'm trying to get a feeling for how many people would buy a sheet and where in the world it would need to be shipped, and prepared a mini-poll for that.
No log-in, payment, names, or binding orders required. I'll have to get myself listed as a vendor for that first. This is only to get an overview of quantities and shipping options.

I also have the option of 1mm or 1.5mm sheets. My test sheet was 1.3mm, which is plenty sufficient, but that's not available. I think 1mm will be fine and even a little bit easier to handle and install, while saving 25% weight, which results in better shipping conditions and, of course, a lighter car
I'll attach a poll for the thickness directly to this thread, so please do both

@cst just installed a DIY larger membrane on both his car and mine using silicone material we purchased from Home Depot. He was told by our dealer (Lotus of DC) that the factory membrane should not be removed for warranty reasons, but saw no problem with installing it on top of the factory piece. That's what was done, and it does not cause fitment issues.

My 2026 was a December 2025 build, and I purchased it with 15 miles on it in May 2026. The OEM rubber membrane was already starting to crack in several areas where it was creased to fit. We just put the new membrane over the OEM without disturbing it.
