Hi all

I removed the rear diffuser to install the Milltek valve controller - all good…..except when trying to reinstall the diffuser, one of the bolts won’t screw in, just spins round and doesn’t engage.
Were there originally nuts on the other side/inside?

Also I read there are two metal clips but I’ve reinstalled the diffuser without encountering these….must have lost them somewhere, are they important? Where exactly do these fit?
Pics attached……

Thank you - wouldn’t any nut do the same job but cheaper and more available? It needs to be a U clip?

Also, be aware that there are two different lengths of the same bolt. They go in different locations and the longer one will feed into any bolt hole on the diffuser. The reason why it spins and spins is because that is the shorter bolt that doesnt reach the speednut.
Now you have to find the longer bolt in all of those mounted bolts. 😉

(Ask me how i know….lol)

The two metal u clips clamp the diffuser to the fender liner behind the rear wheel low on the car. There is also a small plastic piece that is epoxied in at that location that has popped out if the clips were not removed first. It's something that you want to make sure is reinstalled to make a good fit in that location. Some pictures below but they do not make it easy to see where these parts are.
