Hi everyone, I officially put down my deposit last week for an Emira!

Magma Red
v6 manual
Touring chassis/suspension
Black pack
Black wheels
Black Calipers (considering yellow)
Tan Seats

At 31 years old, I might be on the younger side of the demographic, but my finances are in order, and all signs are indicating that we are in the dying days of the ICE. Furthermore, I watched my father go from Accord -> Accord -> Camry -> Camry and never pulling the trigger on the 911 he always wanted, and regretting his choices now that new 911's are near-impossible to get.

I'm #151 at Lotus North Jersey in Summit, and it'll be at least 2024 before delivery, but lines up right with my lease end, so the long wait is actually good for me. I currently drive a 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia and a 2017 Triumph Street Triple.

Anyways, that's enough of my life story, glad to be joining this great community and looking forward to learning more from everyone.

Welcome to the forum! Also in my 30s and order in with Summit. I got in early and expecting delivery March-April. We'll see... How do you like the Alfa? Is it your daily?

Nice. Where are you going to park it? When I was on the city, I was shocked about prices so parked my Elise in jersey city and was great to be able to avoid the Manhattan traffic.

Good question! Last time I was in Brooklyn I spotted a Countach on the street under a car cover. 😂

The Alfa is my daily and I love it for what it is, but I'll probably move on after the lease ends. At it's price point, you're looking at m340i territory, and that's tough competition to beat. It doesn't lease well, even though I got $4k off MSRP, and there's also the notorious Alfa reliability that I don't want to deal with long-term, though I haven't had any issues in the year I've had it. Will most likely look towards a FK9 Type R as my next daily.

I currently pay for garage parking in Brooklyn, though I'll be moving to LA next year where parking is not as much of an issue. For what it's worth, I would never consider owning a car in NYC without garage parking.

So I live in Manhattan but leave a car in Williamsburg. The price difference is unreal - $1,100/month in the garage next to my apartment or $225/month in a brand new underground garage in Williamsburg. Given I only use a car four times a year this was a no-brainer.

Being from Atlanta this was a bigger shock to the system than the ridiculous rent for a 1-BR apartment!

Where is this garage in Williamsburg? I'm currently paying $425 for a spot in Brooklyn Heights and I thought that was on the cheaper side!

City Parking - 25 Kent Ave (82 N. 13th St). Looks like it's gone up to $275. I've had a full-size Armada there for last 18-months with no issues. It's a nice facility.
