I was curious if any of our i4 AMG Emira owners have tried this mod yet? I'm very interested in ordering, but curious if anyone has had any issues given Lotus seems to have the ECU pretty locked down as far as tolerances (think exhaust valve as an example). Details can be found here: https://www.gregsraceparts.com/coll...e-items/products/gfb-bov-fori4-amg-emira-cars

Thanks in advance for any feedback provided.

I'll check them out, but would still like any feedback from anyone who has used the linked version above (GFB) in particular. BTW, for anyone interested, the location of the OEM BOV is right at the top of the engine (left front of turbo) making this about a 5 minute install. Hence my interest in upgrading if it's of noticeable performance value.

BOV won't give you any performance gain but will be able to give you a more consistent boost unlike some oem units that won't do the job at harsh conditions. It also give you a cooler sound, I suppose.

It's the consistent boost and also the gradual release versus OEM's "on/off" that i'm interested in hearing if it's noticeable. Based on what the GFB description says, it should eliminate some additional turbo lag, because it's a gradual vent versus total (meaning the boost build-up is faster after every partial dump vs. OEM's full dump). Also, the boost hold is supposed to be more reliable (I guess OEM's tend to leak at some level). If all of these things are true, by default overall performance improves even if only a bit.

You mean this one? 😉
(The one on the right is the Burger Motorsports BOV plate)
Neither of which have not been installed and tried…yet.

Officially out of control. At this point, this thread should just automatically play Teriyaki Boyz Tokyo Drift song in the background whenever anyone opens it.

btw, the JB4 controller, also serves as the methanol controller that Burger sells...so you don't need an external controller it's just built in and then you can run a methanol map, or decide to just use a regular no-meth map like for long drives or trips where you don't want to keep filling the meth tank (!) So go fast track/canyon map with meth...regular fast no-meth map just select on your phone, so cool.
