Front splitter only

Ground clearance lower than stock but not too bad. The round alloy and plastic wedge-shaped bump stops under the nose would hit the ground before the splitter.
It's details like this that bring value ! Thanks !

So after much deliberation I committed to a C/F splitter from Aerie Performance. Took a while to arrive but the fit and finish was excellent (gloss C/F with herringbone pattern - to match my Aerie diffuser). Only negative (apart from the wait) was mounting it on the car. It was supplied pre-drilled with half a dozen self tapping screws but I doubt these would be sufficient given the forces acting on the splitter. So instead I fitted M5 rivet nuts to the existing mounting holes on the underside of the front bumper (also drilled 4 new holes where the originals aligned with the very back edge of the splitter) and re-drilled the splitter to match. So now (in true Lotus undertray fashion!) the splitter is held in place by 2 x M6 bolts and 12 x M5 bolts. It’s very sturdy (no need for double-sided tape) and looks great. Ground clearance lower than stock but not too bad. The round alloy and plastic wedge-shaped bump stops under the nose would hit the ground before the splitter.
Does anyone know how many pounds of downforce this or JUBU’s splitter will generate at a maximum speeds?
I will only hit 155 to 165mph at the end of a track straight. I’m not worried about the JuBU splitter because it is solidly mounted for the track.
Is there a concern with Aerie , GRP, Ct carbon, or any other splitters. Only asking so people buy what will fit their driving needs without an issues. On my Dodge Challenger, I had to attach metal rods from my splitter to the frame because the nose was being pulled downward from the downforce at speeds over 155mph.

Good stuff on this thread as I found it has really helped weighing in pros and cons of splitter alternatives. Interesting how many variables play in to deciding on one. There are the issues of "looks" (very subjective), quality, economics, functionality and practicality, and I probably missed others.

From a "looks" dept., and again a very subjective matter, there's the CF vs Gloss Black preference where I prefer GB to match the black pack (not really a fan of Glossy CF anyway). I also find the upward edge fin design on some splitters to interfere with the lower side bumper curvature and continuous crease line. Another disadvantage is that presumably those fins can collect debris and add cleaning difficulty. I also dislike splitters that protrude frontward too much, not only from an aesthetic perspective, but because they require added caution on approaching parking barriers etc.

To be fair, imo, the TRC splitter I installed has its own significant downsides too, the biggest one being its very low ground clearance. I would prefer it to allow for at least an inch more. The bottom of mine has already kissed the ground a couple of occasions, the 2 hockey puck protectors being well above the ground clearance line of my splitter. At 65, I'm not exactly young, but now I feel, and most certainly must appear to any observing outsider, like I'm 85 when I park my Emira . While I prefer the GB color to match with the black pack, I can definitely detect the better fit & finish of most of the CF ones vis-a-vis my TRC fiberglass made splitter. The pricing delta surely plays a significant part in the quality difference here where the TRC (and perhaps other non-CF variants) come out to about 1/2 or even 1/3 of CF versions.

Leaving all subjective preferences to a side however, the one arguable shared benefit of this mod on our Emiras is that it becomes fairly easily to remove/replace/change with unnoticeable residual damage as most install using existing under belly holes. In my case, I only had to add a small hole on each outer edge + 1 in the center.

for folks that have thE TRC splitter, can you remove the TRC logic on the front? I hate logos on anything I own

Yep. I removed mine and placed it hidden in the inside section to facilitate identification of the manufacturer.

I have a TRC front splitter… haven’t installed it yet. Not sure I will to be honest. Very well made though… if anyone is interested let me know. Located in New Jersey, USA. I’ll make a dedicated for sale post in the Marketplace at some point if I don’t hear anything.

Ive had a TRC one on for many months (mine came with no badge). Its decent quality and though I was ready for it to scrape its been worse than I had hoped, as .It drops far too low (so looks good) but reduces the front height by around 2.5 to 3 inches.
I'm off doing a 2500 mile trip around Europe with lots of underground garages etc so knew it would be a problem, so have today taken it off.
As mentioned you need to drill just a couple of new holes and, rather than use a strong sealant like tiger seal, we used a silicon one which has been very easy to get off and did the job well even at track speeds.

looks great....

Just did mine today, badge on my splitter doesn’t show as its in the part of the splitter makes contact with bumper underside so it’s covered up. Only issue I ran into was one of the rivets I used stripped but just drilled an extra hole next to it and used a self tapping screw to tighten that part down. Lip is on there pretty good and happy with the result. Ground clearance good for now but I’m still at stock height.
