Emira V6 Manual "Auto Blip" Downshift Rev-Matching

Not yet but we will be testing soon.
Need to verify electrical connectors/connection and then function.
I would be interested in this. My heel & toe skills can be a bit hit and miss when presssing on. Would be a good practice aid to hone my skills knowing what I am trying to mimic

Reviving old thread but does anyone have any tips for installing this unit ?

I am debating whether to attempt this myself or leave it to my mechanic.

I’ve been on a DIY roll last few days, but not sure if this is totally plug and play or requires pull power from another circuit, which feels a little trickier for me

Xingeering has a video somewhere or document that explains it.. not an easy job as you need to connect a few things. Contact them on insta.. they had approached me a while back if I were interested. It was not cheap nor easy

If it's offered, I sure hope it can be turned off... with the hydraulic steering and the manual transmission, I'm attracted to this being the among last analog, pure feeling cars made. I wanna do the rev matching!

We have one on our shop car that I installed.
It is 100% plug n play but accessing the plugs under the dash is a bit tedious. You have to go inverted and you are wokring in a tight space with your hands almost right over your face. lol Not difficult to do really just a bit tedious.
Once you get all the connections made you need to tuck the wiring up neatly and zip tie it up out of the way.
I mounted the on/off switch into the black trim that faces the floor so it cant be seen, you just reach down and flip the unit on or off that way.
It works really well for canyon driving, track driving or autocross. I would not really recommend it for daily driving.

I installed it today. It took about 40 min.

It works nicely, but only when both brake and clutch are engaged.

Worth the money but important to understand the use case.

100% plug and play.

@GRP @xineering

Both Greg and Max Darrah were super helpful as usual.

Can you make a demo video please to see how it works. Im on the fence and its in my basked but want to see if it is the same as the jubu440 that I has for a while. Thanks

I second this, a demo would be great. How difficult was the installation?

Once you get yourself situated upside down in the pedal well, it’s awkward but not hard.

No tools needed.

Less than an hour

It won’t allow the video upload, I guess due to file size

The way to think of the xineering unit is that it is a flawless auto rev matcher on decelerating downshift.

I’ve started a dialogue with Max about using obdii and/or canbus to enable rev matched accelerating downshifts.

For those using JB4, perhaps the obdii could be the source.

I’d pay another chunk of money to unlock the accelerating downshift functionality.

@GRP

I quite like the idea of this.
Particularly if it’s genuinely plug and play / turn on and off at will.
