Geez...I expected tuners from Bergamo to go for it. I'll have to take some time to go meet these guys. I hope I'll be able to by the very end of the year, they're like 500km far from me. I'm no expert at all in tuning and stuff, but if you need me to ask them something (that I can legitimately ask them ;)), go ahead.

So, I got the Stage 1 ECU swapped over and had a quick spin just now. There is some light drizzle here, so it was just a quick one.

My (400hp) I4 now feels significantly quicker in the mid range. It just picks up so quickly and effortlessly with part throttle in the mid range. It also definitely feels faster than before when you rev it out with full throttle, but I’ve not had a chance to stretch its legs properly and it wasn’t exactly slow before.

I’ve got an 21 M3 performance Tesla that’s my daily. The standard Emira felt like it had similar acceleration to the M3P at lower speeds (Tesla launches off the line hard, it has the Emira beat there), when comparing full throttle acceleration up to circa 80 to 100mph, then Emira pulls stronger at higher speeds. However, at part throttle when you aren’t fully on it, the Tesla has an effortless way to how it gains speed, which the Emira didn’t have. Don’t get me wrong, a 400hp I4 responds well and is quick when you aren’t fully on it, but it needs some revs and a bit of gas to get a move on. With the stage 1 map, my Emira gives me a similar feeling to the Tesla, of just effortless acceleration, without having to try.

My car has an Aerie Sport Cat, Aerie V1 Ti exhaust, upgraded dump valve and a BMC free flow air filter, also now with the stage 1 ECU. Just dropped in a Lithium battery too, which dropped 13kg (~29lb).

Let me know how the Lithium Ion Battery holds up? My buddy had one and it appeared to trip lots of electronic gremlins. If you remember, post back in a few months to see if it's been treating you well.

Why didn't you go all out on the stage 2?

He just brought a whole package of suspension upgrades along with the ECU tuning. It’s better to try how these upgrades improves his lap time so he will know what to upgrade next.

Is it possible to tune each mode separately ie Tour 400hp, Sport 440hp, Track 480hp, or are all of these modes linked.

Comparing the stage 1 to a M3P in acceleration I think it is a pretty good praise, enjoy! I think you will like it even better when you got all the suspension upgrades done at the end of month.
