Dropped something in engine bay

I was working on a short shifter, install and accidentally dropped the dang thing to the left side of the engine. Worst part is it did get caught for just a second and as I tried to reach for it with a claw tool, it fell down to the bottom, and I heard it hit the aluminum floor.

Is it just as simple as removing the bottom pan where the exhaust cover is or is there something more intense? I’ll have to do to get it out?

Been there, done that. I was lucky to have a friend with a vehicle hoist/lift and found it easy to remove the steel floor plate. It's actually harder to remove and reinstall the lower rear bumper, so I'd just leave that alone.
