Dallas Emira Owners

Mine is currently Atlantis Blue, but mine is going in for surgery and colored PPF as soon as all the exterior Aerie parts arrived. It should be later this month...I hope.

I am in Rockwall, Zinc Grey V6. Do any of yall know and trust any specific shops in DFW that can do the 3rd cat delete and valve controller? Lotus Dallas wasn’t willing to do it for me.

5th gear automotive has a location that is more tailored towards autosports.
I took our Cadillac XT6 there for service. For the Emira, I have those parts in a box and will do them myself.

Thanks, looking for a shop someone has done them at before. I have the parts as well, but no lift. Wanting to stick with a shop someone can verify has done this correctly for their Emira.

I am on the fence if I want to order another QuickJack or just purchase two more Rennstands.

You could probably do the job on 2 rear jack stands since the access to the 3rd cat is pretty easy to get to. If it’s anything like the pipe routing of the i4, taking the panel that covers the engine bottom in addition to the diffuser can give you better access to the bolts that connect the v6 headers to the 3rd cat.

I have an i4 and did my downpipe and exhaust and valve controller on quick jacks.

I am not comfortable doing it on a quick jack. Really want to pay someone with the right equipment to do it unless I luck into meeting some with a car lift.

Sports car world did my 3rd cat delete. But good luck getting a hold of them. Their main lotus tech went to earth motors. I have a portable lift. The valve controller was easy. Didn’t even need a lift for that. Strange that lotus Dallas didn’t want to do it. I think they installed it for a few people already.

If you ever need to use lift jacks I have the Vevor portable jacks.

I’ll call and ask again, may have spoken to someone at Earth that was new or uninformed. All they told me is they can’t do it because it voids the warranty.

Yea it’s strange since my service advisor ant lotus of Dallas offered to install my downpipe and just gave me a warning of possibly having a CEL.

The only thing I can think of is because it removes an emission component. I don’t think they care about the i4 downpipe since it’s still catted just a high flow cat

Apparently my vehicle did not include the wheel lock. Is there anyone in DFW that may have the same one?
I was planning to have my wheels powder coated Monday and need to break these locks.

I am in Mckinney and will be in Dallas Saturday until noon

The wheel locks have 9+ different pattern and combos. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you most likely will need to order one from the dealer.

Probably a dumb question, but you checked the tire kit in the trunk and the glovebox. I recall some people finding it in strange places.
