Current Lotus Owners on the Forum?

I'm a newer Elise owner, and recently placed a deposit on the Type 131. I'm on this site to follow the journey with like-minded enthusiasts.

Just joined up as I am seriously considering putting a deposit down on an Emira (V6 manual).

Do have a 2010 Exige S RGB and a couple of other fun cars that will stay. Would be interesting to compare the RGB (weighing in at 935kg with 260hp) with the 1,400+kg Emira with 416hp.

I've had an M100 Elan and S2 Elise. Now with an Evora S, Exige S1 and a Sport 110 bike. Had the Evora 10 years, loved the mix of Lotus DNA with practicality and relative comfort. I've had our family of 4 in it, done long road trips, used it as "dad's taxi" and hauled TVs, DIY materials, cases of wine and my bikes in the back. Plus lots of blasts on country roads and the odd track day. It's a fantastic all rounder and every year when I've thought about replacing it I can't come up with anything as fun and versatile.

Now my children are older the +2 is less relevant and the Emira has come along at a perfect time. I'm lucky that I can keep the Exige and don't necessarily have to trade in the Evora, though probably will.

Wow, I think that's the first RGB I've ever seen! That is truly a spectacular car 🏆

How many on the forum are currently or a previous Lotus owner? I'm curious how many new buyers the Emira will attract to the brand. It's amazing the amount of positive comments I've see on various websites and youtube discussions.

Thanks for the addition of the poll. However small nit, there are a few like me that are excluded from the poll as "currently own a Lotus" is inaccurate... because we own MORE than one Lotus and in many cases have owned over the years many more! Further proving that "Lotus" is a chronic disease.

I was able to vote "Yes. I currently own a Lotus" - but only just! I acquired a burnt orange Elise SC last week, planning to use it mainly on the track (it's kitted out with race harnesses, fire extinguisher etc. so should be the perfect track tool). So far I'm very happy - first track outing is in a couple of weeks at Brands Hatch so we'll see how it does!

I have a 2000 S1 Elise (one of the last built, I believe…) that I plan on keeping.

I also have a black Esprit S4 that is a bit sick at the moment ; I plan to get that back on the road and then sell it to part fund the Emira. It’ll be hard to let it go as I’ve had it for 15 years but needs must and…

…I also have a Stevens S3 Esprit that is basically a project that I’ll also probably keep to have something to tinker with.

Do most of my miles in a Ford Fiesta though!
