So, after fitting some BoomGear upper control arms (and a long list of BG suspension upgrades), my I4 Emira has a little over -3degs on the front and a little under -3degs on the rear. It looks noticeably different, with the tops of the wheels pushed inwards circa 15mm or so I’d estimate (not as pleasant on the eye if I’m honest 🤣 ).

Pics are with factory wheels plus 12mm spacers, with a small drop (maybe 10mm or a little over). Not the best pics. Can also see the red radiators for the snow tech upgrade charge cooler setup;)

I’m thinking I’ll try my 12mm spacers with my 20*9 and 20*11 aftermarket wheels (they run 6mm lower offsets, plus another 6mm from wider rims), which pushes outside face of the wheel 12mm outwards. That will fix the look somewhat (not a major concern for me TBH), but not sure if it might hurt the steering, or negatively affect the suspension geometry?

I assume with this radical of an alignment that this is a track-dedicated car?
I wouldn’t describe it is radical, but yeah, it’s for track, not looks. The outside edge of the tyres, especially fronts are destroyed on track.

How does it feel when you drive given such extreme camber? Does the car feel noticeably more stable? Or this is mostly aesthetic?

Still trying to debug a couple of issues, before I can test the car properly. I had a quick drive but need a bit more time to get a feel for it. Easy to adjust the camber. It uses shims, just add/remove them and you can dial in the camber you want.

I think you misunderstood my comment. I was asking if you were planning on using the car with this type of alignment only as a dedicated track car because that kind of alignment on the street will destroy your tires. In other words, you can optimize your alignment for the road, but the tires will suffer at the track, as you said. Likewise, you can optimize your alignment for the track, but the tires will suffer on the road.

The upgrades are to make it far more track focused and yeah I don’t plan to drive it much on the road. I will keep an eye on the tyre wear both on track and on the road. Can then adjust as required.

Not too sure if I can change the camber without affecting the toe or other alignment settings.

Do you notice a different in level of steering feel, feedback, texture? Data about road surface under tire contact patch ?
