10,000th Emira rolls off the line

Absolute Lotus (Issue 44) just announced that Lotus (UK) has now built 10,000 Emiras.

A good reason to celebrate

I think Matt Windle has done a great job, as witnessed by his recent promotion to be the CEO of Lotus Europe. (I assume that his role will still be tied to manufacturing, as well as the development of future models - and that it will not be limited to just marketing.)

Was thinking the total run of the Evora was around 6200 units.

Absolute Lotus isn't keeping up with the news cycle. Lotus announced the 10,000 Emiras milestone back in March when they launched the Turbo SE model (in non-US markets). In fact, photos of car number 10,000 were circulated and discussed on this forum.

Even if they do it would only be the i4 DCT as the V6 is dead, right? Gotta wonder how strong sales would even be at that point….
