    InoKinetic is a Supporting Vendor!

Welcome to the forum, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the Emira. Great to see that you install what you sell as well.

Look no farther than formula 1 for the apex of engineering. Mid engined (ahead of the rear axle)with a significant rearward weight bias is what you'll find.

Newbie: Considering a switch - 911 to Emira

My last sports car prior to the Emira was a 991.1 GT3 which I really enjoyed. I didn't want to keep that car out of warranty due to the well documented issues with the valve train. I also missed the manual of my prior car which was a 997 Carrera manual. The Porsche pricing scheme, ADM and...

Today's Financial Times | Carmaker Lotus plans to end production in the UK

If the US is their largest market and they believe that they can meaningfully scale the business, it makes sense to avoid tariffs by producing the cars in the US. We've seen BMW, Toyota and other automakers come to the same conclusion. I hope they maintain some presence in Hethel to preserve...

Received good news from my dealer

Makes sense to buy one out of dealer stock at the old price if you can find one that is close to your spec. There's still quite a few out there.

Anyone regretting that they got the Sport suspension and Cup 2s?

Did you consider the Ohlins suspension as well? Not sure which I'd prefer for an upgrade but have been happy with the sport and Cups 2's.

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

That is new information. We've been getting persistent reports that map 2 is significantly more impactful than map 1 but not all of those reports are coming from users that have connected the OBD data cable. Look forward to having an easier way to connect to OBD which is apparently coming.

    Why no carbon?

As others have said, I think there's a good chance we'll see future editions with carbon, suspension and powertrain options. The good news is that you can build an Emira today with carbon seats, carbon trim, carbon aero, Ohlins suspension and a tune that will outperform an Evora GT430 if you...

    Emira VS My Past Cars

The KEF system will always have rolled off bass like nearly all car systems but sounds quite musical for a car stereo overall. I have a high end system at home for serious listening but still find that I enjoy well recorded music at reasonable volumes in the Emira. It's definitely worth...

    MY2025 less problematic?

I have a MY24 with no issues after 8000 miles
  16. N

Broken Axle? GI in built axles and how common this issue actually is.

Watching closely to see how prevalent the broken half shafts become. I'd pay a premium for a heavy duty replacement pair if one of mine let go or we see a trend of broken shafts.

V8 Emira being considered to replace V6

If they built the uber expensive and low volume Evija, I think it's fair to say that investing in a premium version of the much higher volume Emira is something that Geely would seriously entertain. If another manufacturer does the heavy lifting of bringing a compliant V8 powertrain to market...

Going beyond 7k RPM: A Thread

MWR is a good alternative to Jubu for a built 2GR short block (and ported heads ready for high rpm use) at reasonable price. Their sleeved blocks have the option of a larger bore, taking the motor to 3.7 liters. That makes sense if you're going with lower compression forged pistons to...

    Second Aerie Gasket Failure

I think one of the differences between the Aerie and GRP titanium exhausts is that the GRP y-pipe design has a channel cut out for the gasket on the fitting.

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

There is no material difference in weight between the Evora and Emira. The Evora 400 was just over 3200 lbs and the Evora GT with carbon roof, seats and other weight saving bits shaved 100 lbs from that figure. "Lightweight is to Lotus as four-wheel drive is to Jeep, and the Evora GT drops a...

Going beyond 7k RPM: A Thread

JUBU uses an aftermarket ECU that is not compatible with the JB4 piggyback module. They adjust more parameters including RPM limit but at a substantially higher cost.

    Emira track impressions

It will be interesting to see how your lap times improve with the suspension and tire upgrades. The Porsche GT series and the RS in particular have really doubled down on aerodynamics with each successive generation. That has been the primary driver of their improved performance as normally...

    Emira track impressions

Except that the 911 has more weight behind the rear axle making it rear engined. Positioning weight ahead of the rear axle is a critical distinction of mid engined cars. https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/car-design/a17043585/why-the-porsche-911-is-rear-engined/

The Break-In Period No One Talks About (V6 Manual, Sports Suspension, Cup 2)

The Emira is an amazing car on so many levels but the learning curve will vary with what you're accustomed to. I've owned faster and more powerful cars and have missed some elements of those experiences but also appreciated the driving experience since I purchased the Emira. I've come to value...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

I think it's fair to say that the answer to this question would require testing that hasn't yet been performed. The intercooler was engineered with some boost limits in mind but we don't know the margin that has been built into the design. We aren't massively increasing boost here and there...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Curious about this as well. I assume they are altering the opening of the blow off valve so that it allows more boost to be available throughout the RPM range. Otherwise, you would need a different pulley to drive the blower at higher speed to increase boost levels. It does appear that Lotus...

Update on the full Larini V6 exhaust system

I’m sure the Larini system sounds great but I would prefer one of the titanium systems to add lightness if I’m going to make that investment. I have the 3rd cat delete and valve controller and I’m pretty happy with the sound.

Redline Reviews: "The 2025 Lotus Emira 2.0T Is A Superlative Driver's Car With A Stonking Motor From AMG"

While I agree that all GT3's are sweet and I enjoyed my 991 with PDK prior to the Emira, the 6 speed GT3's command a premium in the aftermarket. The other thing to keep in mind is real world driving experience versus launch control driven acceleration stats or the last word in track times. For...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Worth noting that the 400 hp figure quoted by the factory is measured at the crank versus the dynojet figures shown here which measure hp at the wheels after the parasitic losses of the drivetrain.

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

According to the JB4 FAQ on their website, resetting the redline is not something that a piggyback tuner can address. That would require a re-flash of the factory ECU or a replacement ECU unfortunately.

    Jokerz Performance Supercharger porting

The Evora and Exige have a longer service history with the same powertrain but there probably aren't many Emiras out there yet with these mods. You'll likely have to check with vendors like Olympic and Jokerz directly for more color and Emira specific data points. Olympic has installed the...
