Been a while since I posted, but just to update and let you know that I have sold the Emira, and am moving on to hopefully much better things. Just didn't get on well with the Emira, found the steering and clutch too heavy compared to other cars, and had issues such as the boot getting damp, so...
If pump or low fluid then wouldn't I have issues at all speeds not just when standing still, or very low speeds like when parking? as when driving normally it is perfectly fine, even when going round roundabouts or driving round a carpark etc, it is only when in driveway for example and doing a...
Not that I know of, but will have to speak to local dealer and get them to check it out then - was convinced it was just a Lotus thing from discussions I have had, but now you have all got me thinking perhaps not, but would be odd for it not to have been picked up when it was in for recent work...
It has been into dealer recently anyway for all the brakes to be replaced and they didn't notice / comment on anything. Speaking to others I think it is a "lotus" thing due to the hydraulic steering as I know it has been mentioned on previous models, hence why I didn't think it was a fault with...
No I don't think it is the same thing as that owner noticed it when driving round roundabouts etc as well and I can drive it find when it is moving, it is only low or no speed manoeuvring
Hi
I think this is probably a "lotus" thing, but I am really finding the steering heavy when doing any low speed manoeuvring. It is perfectly fine when driving normally.
My driveway is quite small, so often have to do quite a lot of jiggling around to get parked correctly, so trying to turn...
Shock horror, my framed photograph has just turned up - unfortunately no autographs or signatures on it however, despite it taking Lotus over 8 months to deliver it to me......
I have lost count of the number of times I have chased @Scott Walker @Scott@Lotus for mine since February, now I don't even get a response - let's hope when it finally turns up it is covered in signatures too!
In the armrest one of the USB ports is type A and one is type C, I have tried using a converter cable to connect my USB drive to the type C socket as well but same issue unfortunately.
The USB behind the mirror has my dashcam connected and the USB in the centre console according to the manual...
Question for other Emira owners.
I use a USB drive for my music which is plugged into what the Emira identifies as USB2.
But every time I get in my car I have to keep selecting the USB device again as it seems to have defaulted back to radio - which is getting really tedious.
I had left it...
Car has just spent a few days at Stratton Motor Company having the recalls done for wiper motor and trim tether
Whilst it was in they looked at the brake issue which was first noticed just after it was collected, car hasn't done that many miles since, and the problem hadn't resolved itself like...
See related discussion here (https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/factory-collection-picture.3367/) - still waiting for my picture and I collected car in Feb.......
Yes I got letter as well - not sure how they can deem it as a "non-safety" issue though going on some of the comments of people who have experience the problem first-hand
Scorpion tracker app was showing voltage as 12.3v before and 12.6v after I left it running a while, so has made a bit of a difference. If alarm goes off again I will go for a spin instead :)
Yes I did wonder that myself as car not moved for a while so have been out and started it up and left it running a good while to give battery a charge, will see if alarm goes off again now.
Today for no reason at all the alarm has gone off - twice - car just sitting in driveway, no one near it, no wind or anything else which could trigger it. Anyone else had this?
Yes it was the serious safety ones which made me post the question to be honest, never ever bought a car directly from manufacturer before and certainly never factory collected one, so used to having dealer or even manufacturers being quite proactive about making contact when any safety recalls...
You would think Lotus would automatically notify dealers for all factory collected cars, I know at one point during the checkout process they did email me and ask who my preferred dealer would be, I had assumed that was perhaps so they could pass on details to them to make contact, but this...
Yes that would be the dealer I would go too as just down the road, but I have never been in contact with them yet, so they have no knowledge of me or my car, hence question as to who would ever contact me to tell me about the safety issues, as if it wasn't for being on this forum then I would...
Just wondering - if you did factory collection (as I did) and didn't actually deal with a dealer I wonder who contacts you to arrange safety related recalls fixes such as the wiper motor? as if relying on LCC to do it then I suspect it could be a long wait! as had car since Feb so before the...
Collected my car 6th Feb and still waiting for the framed pic too, also told I would get it 'soon', have chased multiple times, but needless to say it never arrives.
Thanks.
Slider for sensitivity already set to highest as I thought that might help - but didn't
Bluetooth is on and working as phone working with android auto etc, also tried turning bluetooth off and on and restarting phone.
Will try ringing scorpion on Monday if not will have to revert to...
Thought phone app was working but clearly not as just got home and had phone call from Scorpion about possible theft, and looking at app it says "current status: searching for tracker" even when sitting in car with engine running and phone in my hand.
Any thoughts? have tried deleting and...
