What method did you use?
I checked the discs when I picked up the car, and they all look good, no scarring.
break in is nothing fancy, just gradually stopping about dozen times, get out and check discs for marks.
full bedding is about 400 miles and NO hard breaking until after break in and bedding.
I am at 470 miles on my Emira when photo was taken.

No problems here, just massive brown brake dusting.....

Anyone happen to notice scoring at the disc edges on the rear or any scalloping of the disc?

Ordered new. Have only put about 200 miles on since taking delivery last week. Was doing some cleaning and noticed what looks like scoring at the rear disc edges and also an area that appears slightly scalloped.

Any thoughts?

I never had noticed but went to check on mine and found that same edge scarring on my discs as well, but oddly it's on the front ones, not on the rear ones. There's a score on one section of the perimeter of the left and right disc. This make me suspect if they come from factory like this, but what's odd is that in your case they are in the rear discs. Here's a picture of mine.

Interesting.
I had posted on another thread addressing some race issues, and just received a reply indicating that this is done to balance the disc from the factory.
Never noticed this on any other car before but it does make some sense.

That's edge balancing of the rotor. Most brake companies do some variation of this.
