I4 Emira Turbo/AMG DIY oil changes?

Beautiful, thanks for the write-up!

Just wondering if you noticed any brand names or part numbers indicated on the original filter that came with the engine? I'm assuming the original filter was a Mercedes branded part?

Good idea.
The original says "AMG A 133 184 00 25" and Hengst.

I changed my Emira oil at 1000 miles. Took me several methods to remove the oil drain bolt because it got stripped. Eventually got it off by sawing a slit on the head, then used chisel and hammer to break it loose. I replaced it with a drain valve, so now I only need a wrench for the oil filter housing.

Mine went down to 0.8 and I added about 0.5. Seemed to keep it happy
Mine was also just serviced and is telling me its 0.2 and sometimes 0.4 below max, so either the dealership scrimped on oil, or the measuring is a tad vague.

it was stripped upon removing it for the very first time?

You used the Volvo Max Valve ???? You feel it is a quality product then ??
I see reviews about it on negative side ??? Like any product made LOL..
What size is the one used for Emira ???

So is this the correct reference? Of the other mentioned before, A1761800800 ? Thank you.
I bought Mercedes part number A176 180 08 00 at the Mercedes dealership. It works. The other info may help you find there same filter at a parts store/online. I haven't done that yet.

Just finished my 1k oil change, so easy! Here are some pics, plan about 90 mins. You don't need to remove the diffusor, the metal panel is slid backwards to remove the front from the dovetail, then forward to slide it out. Great news that I cut my filter apart and only minor, small metal flakes.
Tools:
7mm socket
10mm socket
6mm allen wrench (socket-style recommended, easier than using an allen wrench)
Impact drill
27mm short socket (for oil filter housing)
Funnel

Consumables:
Filter + housing o-ring
Drain plug compression washer
7qts oil
