We've pulled the powertrain out of an Emira and don't see how it is possible to install mount inserts within the 2-4hrs people are suggesting. I would love to learn how this gets done when the engine is in a car - as the mounts are deep and nearly impossible to access.

Now that we have taken a powertrain out and reinstalled it, we still don't know how those inserts get done in under 4hrs. I would love to hear from those of you who have done it.

looks like someone needed shin (and forehead) protection. ;)
LOL, the subframe was sent with edge protection for shipping. We left some of it in place...for now!

Interesting.

I’m going to email you about something related

I absolutely applaud the effort that goes into doing this but no way in hell I'm doing that or trusting someone else to do that for some motor mounts. Good luck guys.

Are the transmission mounts anywhere near this involved?

FWIW, JUBU quotes 3-6 hours for their torque insulator install.

I can’t yet say whether this is actually possible.

@shinoo knows exponentially more than I do about working on these cars.
