Why the big difference in sound??

I'm just curious why there's such a big difference in the engine sound between the supercharged V6 in the Exige, and the Supercharged V6 in the Emira??
In the Exige you can hear far more of the supercharger whine than you hear in the Emira.
Is that do to more sound insulation in the Emira or something else?
I want more whine in my Emira.

It‘s mostly because the world haven‘t stood still for the last ten years. It‘s just not allowed anymore to build a car that is as loud as an Exige.

I used to have a whining noise in my car, took me years to work out where it was coming from. Narrowed it down to the wife in the passenger seat, removed wife , removed whine… 🤪
