Tapped the rear-view USB wire for R8 detector and changed the steering wheel buttons.

Also a good day for a drive. Slowly adding miles for run-in and admiring the protective layer of brake dust.
Though after parking for a few minutes it didn't want to start! .
Warm day but nothing crazy (higher altitude maybe?); finally did start after a few tries (and unbuckling seatbelt)

Put 250 miles on the car today through the back roads east of San Diego attending Rolling British Car Day with (in order as pictured) @T6061, @GrahamClark_60-68, (me), Josh (I don't think he is on this forum), and @cryptovince. Also, hiding two rows back is @Balboa.

Just washed the car by myself for the first time and took some photos with my camera. Thou it's park in the garage with very limited angles for shots.

I did ask to have the alignment done separately from the regular service menu. They still had to adjust the steering wheel, so although wheel alignment may have had some part in the crooked steering wheel, it was not the only cause.

Same , going in for 1K oil change next Tues and will have them redo the alignment.

I think it's good practice as the various parts of the suspension should have settled in by 1k miles.

Took the car out for the first drive after the winter break. Almost 6 months in storage with a battery charger connected. Had moved it a few times, couple of engines starts and kept the tires at 3 bar. Plenty of mouse traps around.

Great first drive, everything works and just a beautiful car to look at!

Finally in my garage and added to my stable...after mods since Feb. acquisition.
As a Pcar guy, lots to learn yet about these cars.

Spent about 5 hours getting to know the Emira more intimately in my garage. Installed Hawk Ceramic pads, GRP wheel spacers, GRP Titanium wheel bolts, and GRP aluminum carpet buttons. I also washed and detailed the wheels and calipers and touched up the ceramic coating on them as well.
I ran out of time for a test drive/pad bed-in but tomorrow is another day.

*don’t mind the microfiber fuzz on the caliper
