many will have seen this before but driving any lotus is like thisGetaway in Paris Ferrari 275 GTB racing (vintage footage, 1976)
It’s on youtubeWas there supposed to be a video or link? There's nothing there but the sentence.
Where is your proof! look at the vehicles and people they are not sped upIts unfortunately staged…film was sped up and it’s not actually the Ferrari being driven (the soundtrack though is and was overlayed).
I believe spotters were used at the major crossings (though one failed and could have been calamitous)

it’s a fairly popular cult video originally titled in French.Where is your proof! look at the vehicles and people they are not sped up
it's not an automatic?it’s a fairly popular cult video originally titled in French.
Apologies, it wasn’t sped up (mixed this up with a more recent homage) but it was done in an automatic - which for the intent behind the thread is…worse
Thread is titled - what a manual car can do, what actually did ‘it’ was an automaticit's not an automatic?
My sincere apologies I was wrong, from now on won't believe what I see? pretty amazing how it was made thoughThread is titled - what a manual car can do, what actually did ‘it’ was an automatic
I agree. As a piece of automotive cinema it’s a cult classic, heck…it’s an outright classic. A few people have tried different homages, a recent one was for the launch of a car - can’t remember which. My sincere apologies I was wrong, from now on won't believe what I see? pretty amazing how it was made though

The truth about the movie Rendez-vous in Paris (1976)
In a time long before GoPro cameras, a French movie director made an epic short movie featuring a car speeding through Paris on an early Sunday morning.www.granturismoevents.com
Ferrari “remade” this film with Charles Leclerc. They missed the point almost completely (the soundtrack, the element of danger, the “surprise” ending). Still fun to watch a hot lap around the Monaco circuit in a street car.
agreed that is awful, the original wether its made up or not is so engaging and looks and sounds realThat’s the one. And agreed, a soulless remake and a disservice to the original.
Spiritually, this video is closer. It definitely has the soundtrack and the element of danger. Sure it’s on a track, but something about Ayrton heel-toeing in loafers makes this kindred. That’s the one. And agreed, a soulless remake and a disservice to the original.

To go this balls out without even a helmet, these guys were a different breed.
