VF Tuner for the Lotus Emira

You've made yourself abundantly clear....now leave it alone
!! um... you do realize he's a forum moderator, don't you? It's his job to clarify things if there are misunderstandings or issues, which in this case there certainly was.

Um?? Point has been made. Personally a dm to the alleged offender would have sufficed as to not drag it out on a thread - reduces the drama.

Many it seems thought mistakenly (including VF themselves) that a mod, probably @Porter, had deleted the posts which VF seemed to take as some form of censorship. Porter rightfully corrected that for everybody (which wouldn't have been visible with a private dm) so that any confusion or misunderstanding would be cleared up. His post actually helped to 'reduce the drama' by clarifying what happened.

You're spending too much time on this.....if i offend anyone on this thread, please dm me....

Says the guy who started it.... I agree, you're spending too much time on this. I'm not offended. Let's move on.

Real ECU tune will far exceed "just making more boost" like these piggybacks do.
VF Tuner - reviewed your install guide for another product on your website. One of your kits appears to permit the end user to self load a ECU maps. Does your software also allow to 'download' current/OEM ECU config to store as backup?
If so, assume the end users would be able to [restore] original OEM maps prior to bring into the dealer for service.

675430VME

Thanks for offering to help VF Tuner with an AMG ECU, to explore accessing ECU maps.

@VF Tuner do you have a date by when you intend to release your solution?

You said soon that’s what lotus told us and soon for lotus was 3 years , would like to understand where you are what challenges you have run into and what’s left to overcome.

I just want a solution for the rev limiter

Yes that is our goal, to have everything available for the end-user to be able to do from home. Load new maps, flash back to stock, etc.
Tuners and shops will also be able to get access to the tables as well to provide custom tuning.

I do not have an exact ETA yet sorry. We are having a bit of a difficult time testing because our brand new 2025 Emira keeps breaking.
First it was the Power steering pump. - Fixed
Now Lotus did 5 different software updates to it and it continues to get check engine lights and randomly won't start.
And when it does start it starts in limp mode.

So...it's hard to test on a lemon.

I don't see any of these doing anything to rev limit, response, TCU mapping, etc etc etc.

All these piggybacks do is fake boost. Yea, that makes more power. But what it doesn't do is match ANY of the torque mapping for the transmission, throttle, etc
TCU tune for the V6 Auto box would be awesome, haven’t heard great things about it

That's on our list. We actually want to buy an Auto to pair with our manual, but the auto v6 Emira seems to be quite rare, and only in less desirable color combinations.

We are nearing full release of our complete Evora IPS TCU tuning solution, and it's the same setup.

the notes for MY2026 have revised transmission tuning for the auto. They may release it to earlier years. Otherwise perhaps VF can start with a 26 tune and flash the good bits to prior years

Yep, we do this all the time on other platforms.
Some manufacturers update tunes and use this to tack on extra cost on the new cars, as a selling point. We will see what lotus does.

jb4 is hot garbage. lmk as soon as this is ready

(also selling jb4 with bluetooth bracket mount)
