I guess this means Federal V6 Autos are done by this month so we can expect deliveries by September sans CARB certification!
My car arrived on the 5/13 shipment. It still hasn't reached the dealer.Anyone else receive their cars or know if the cars have arrived to the dealership from the 5/13 shipment?
I figured it out. I used a small screwdriver to pry the fob open a bit on the side with the embedded post (opposite the side with the emergency key). It spread the case enough that I could get the key ring over the post. It then easily snapped back together.Hooray! We collected our Emira Friday evening. It's already dirty, so I'll post a few photos after I clean it.
I'm trying to put the Emira key fob onto the keychain that Lotus sent. I see that there is an embedded post on the fob, but I don't see how to put the little ring on without splitting the key fob. I tried taking the emergency key out and prying on it. It moved but it didn't come apart. I decided to seek advice rather than damage it. Any solutions?
Ordered similar but with black pack and red interior.Just did the first wash. I could have spent another couple hours cleaning some of the more obscure spots and removing leftover adhesive around the doors and on the wheels.
I'm addicted, it is a blast to drive. The touring suspension is firmer than my 997, I think sport would be too much for me on the street. All the sounds of the motor, the single mass flywheel and the supercharger are intoxicating. I need to stop writing and go drive it.

Doubt it…..I just confirmed my order with the factory last week.I guess this means Federal V6 Autos are done by this month so we can expect deliveries by September sans CARB certification!
That's an unusually late factory submission. Most of us who pre-ordered that early completed our factory submission first quarter of 2022. But hey, you got your VIN
Is 5 months from submitting order to factory to receiving VIN what others have experienced? What about those that recently submitted orders like from a new Dealership?July 21 deposit, August 23 factory submission, and got my VIN mid January.
It looks like my driver's side front rotor has it as well.Sorry to say, you have the brake cancer too.
Thanks for the clarification...just thought it was odd, considering the statement in my order submissionThat’s common in the exotic sales industry, however I’ve only really seen it done on like a Porsche GT3 RS or other ultra desirable exotic because they have a contract to not sell new cars over MSRP but with used, anything goes.
Did you go with sport or touring? Coming from someone who has a gt3, how does the emira suspension harshness and handling compare? Thanks!Update:
My steering pump was fixed last Friday. I took delivery on last Saturday. My dealer did an amazing job getting the steering pump and got it installed swiftly. I took the car for two short drives with my wife and a friend. They were all blown away by the dynamics of the car. As Chris Harris said, the car glides through the roads.
I absolutely love the steering. The shifter is unique and I do not have any issues with it. Yes my GT3 shifter is better and it shifts like a bolt action rifle. The shifter on the Emira does provide more metallic feedback IMO. This is exactly what I want for a two-sports car garage, different but equally sublime.
The car is now in my buddy's ppf shop for full ppf application, clearplex windshield film, and window tint.
After 3 years of wait, I am finally a happy man.
More pics to come after ppf.
Dude that car is BEAUTIFUL. Well done.Just did the first wash. I could have spent another couple hours cleaning some of the more obscure spots and removing leftover adhesive around the doors and on the wheels.

5 months was on the money for me (details below), but I'd suspect that past performance does not predict future build times. The CARB debacle and bridge collapse occurred smack in the middle of my timeline, so who knows how much delay those events accounted for. Hopefully your timeline is even better now that Lotus seems to have found a groove on US/Canada builds. Is 5 months from submitting order to factory to receiving VIN what others have experienced?
