Do we know what day the EPA passed the Emira? I thought I heard someone say that typically CARB follows after EPA about 6 weeks in a lag.

EPA document release is a few weeks behind. There is nothing there yet. Also no NHTSA VIN registration document or even the Emira being registered as a model of Lotus.

Im not worried by either of those. Just because it’s not posted doesn’t mean it’s not happening. These are just public record sites, which can be delayed by a lot.

No, not yet. EPA is working towards that, but it has not yet occurred and will not for 5+ years if you read the EPA website. Plus EPA emission standards may change with shifting political winds.
Your car probably has not been built yet, so you will need more patience. In the mean time this thread will wonder aimlessly until some verifiable evidence that Emiras for the North American market are here.

If it goes past 2024 Im out. When i placed m deposit they said 18months to 2 years max. Then about 6months ago said probably spring or summer of 2023.

Maybe to place an order Summer 2023 once the base configurator goes live - if it was for a delivered car next year, you most likely would have gotten an allocation and submit the final build. (exception is if you want an i4)
This is only a guess, but it looks like Lotus will be releasing the base edition sometime early next year and will probably fulfill UK/EU/ROW build slots for the last half of 2024. (after AUG - Q1 & Q2 seems to be slated for i4 F/E's and N/A V6 F/E's) US/CAN base editions would come after. (begin delivery in Q1 2025) Of course this is an assumption, but based on the trajectory of the V6 F/E's it would seem likely.
Only caveat I see is that North American i4's and UK/ROW i4's maybe in production at the same time. So there is a possibility that base V6's get produced all together and Q4 2024 delivery is best case scenario if that happens. I guess it depends on how much demand they have left for the Base V6 Emira.

Saw some guy post on FB that his dealer was able to verify their VIN based off their order, as well as set a date for car shields in December. Apparently they have a local company offering additional shields. The post was deleted but he did say that he should not have posted that information. He is no longer responding to me...lol So would appear to confirm cars ARE MADE and we are in a holding pattern. It would appear some dealers are letting things slip.
According to Lotus, the paint that comes out of the factory is not good enough 
; In the UK there is an option for extra ceramic coating prior to delivery; in the USA this has to be done locally by the dealer. If this is a known issue it should be included as part of the standard cost and done by default at the factory.

One would think Lotus would apply more protection during shipping than the minimal white strips we've seen from photos of arriving cars in Japan and UAE.According to Lotus, the paint that comes out of the factory is not good enough

I 100% believe you that this happened, but I suspect that the OP was probably just trolling. The whole "Oh, I've said too much" / being coy / deleting the post routine, I feel like more often than not turns out to be just people seeking attention.
