Anyone know if this is true. I was just told one of the latest updates downgrades the power because it was too high or in his words "too fast". Is there any way people can see the list of software updates and what they do online? I hope this isn't actually true but it was a tech that does the uploads that said this. Mmm

That's not too bad until you realize none of the updates are performed by your local Lotus engineer, but all done remotely by Lotus Hethel. So how do you expect your local dealers have any information?
Well he sure seemed like he had a lot to say. These are done by the service center. They have the computers to do it

Well - modern cars log a lot of data (memory is cheap) imagine boost is ore of the logged data points. If you blow a cylinder head gasket and cars logs show you were running 36 psi of boost vs 30 psi there may be some push back on the warranty claim. Manufactures are very aware of piggy back systems upping boost....

No the sensors information that would be data log is manipulated. The logging will not show these numbers showing the extra boost

It will show, there are tons of way to find out. They won't bother if it is a small clam, but if you blow your engine, you bet they will. Don't just listen to what the vendors told you, it is a fact no matter if you do ecu flash, Cobb, or any piggyback, manufacturer will be able to pull data to support that.
