As per my post in "What did you do to your Emira today?" I had a new tyre fitted by a mobile fitter at the side of the road, due to an unexpected puncture(is there such a thin as an expected one?)
Down side of this, is that I now have a Falcon tyre on the nearside wheel and a 7500 mile Goodyear on the other. Both tyres are in good condition and I am loathe to replace either.
The Q is, will this cause me/the car issues? It doesnt get tracked, never goes above 75mph and in reality, whilst I think I am driving hard, its not that hard in comparison to those that really do push their cars.

Personally I wouldn’t want to drive the car on mixed tyres as they will behave differently esp under extreme conditions, eg emergency stop or a swerve to avoid a collision, esp in the wet. I’d get 2 new Goodyears fitted and keep the old Goodyear as a spare incase of another puncture. The Falcon I’d sell.

I’ve mixed tyres like this a lot of times. Even did it on my Evora and went for a ‘driving weekend’ with an M4 CSL and 911 GTS. Suffice to say I was pushing the corner speed to keep up, but without any issue.

I wouldn't personally do it on the family car, and certainly not on a sports car.
You've got two sides with different tread patterns, compound type and tread depth. This means in certain scenarios that one side may find significant grip when the other doesn't. You've also got a car with a fair amount of power and an LSD. You won't notice the grip imbalance until you do. When you do could be a corner in the rain or an emergency situation with heavy braking and steering inputs. The result could be significant yaw and ending up in a ditch. Not worth it for the sake of a tyre. If you ever crashed would you want it in the back of your mind that it might have been prevented if you had simply bought a pair of new matching tyres.

Yeah, I'm definitely a replace-in-pairs (or all four!) stickler. @Whitey 's suggestion is the way forward.

Now you just need to get a rack, so you can carry the spare Dakar-spec-style ;)
