Bought this a couple years ago. Not at all in the league of your guys watches ($250 and Chinese), but I’m not really a watch guy. Just appreciated the mechanical nature of it.

I have over 30 watches, but none you would call "high end". I did pick this one up to match my brakes and stitching. Doubles as a pocket stop watch

There's the right tool for every job. I love my Apple Watch Ultra for tracking my workouts and fitness.
I get round the issue by wearing 2. Fenix 7 on one wrist, Marathon CSAR on the other

It took me years and $$$ to kick my "watch habit". Best never to start...or face the consequences. Or at least do your research: beware paying too much for the excellent clones out there, and consider the "grey market" with reputable second hand sellers and reputable watch Forums (such as WatchUSeek or Chrono24), to save money. Christopher Ward has been hot lately! They have several really nice watches that I've been keeping an eye on. WHAT...you're doubly to blame Dragoon since you're an administator (have you no shame; lol)...putting me back down the "watch rabbit hole" and I'll now have to face the wrath of "she-who-must-be-obeyed" when I get home from work tonight (sigh). I wasn't familiar with the Christopher Ward (CW) watch brand and your post "forced" me to check it out. I've now just purchased one of my dream-type watches, in terms of function: the CW C1 Bel Canto, due to its hourly "chime complication". I've owned a grandfather clock for many many years and always loved its chime which brings more life into my household, and now own a wristwatch that will chime every hour. I can hardly wait to get it! So this is my very round-about way of saying THANKS...but on behalf of my spouse, not so much. She's already not pleased with the amount of time I devote to this Forum...how will I explain to her that it's also a "watch Forum" (???) when she was convinced my "watch Forum" days were long behind me. Oh well.

here's my watch nerd journey I went through, we all go through some variation of it:
Casio -> Seiko -> (find out about "real watches") -> Tudor (while you figure out how to find an AD who will sell you a Rolex -> get Rolex(es) -> get a Speedmaster (because cars) -> Grand Seiko -> make the jump to AP -> now at the end game lose interest in the watch game -> buy too many MoonSwatches and customize them -> discover all sorts of microbrands -> back to Seikos -> Casio/GShock are cool!
I would say now I usually wear a Moonswatch or a Seiko or a GShock - sometimes will rock luxury swiss. I avoid the Grand Seiko boutique because I will walk out with something and rather spend the money on Emira parts!
