Strange Goings On.

Has happened to me twice. Both times car had sat some time and per tracker battery was a little low. After a drive (an hour or more) plus lock/unlock cycle it has gone away.

Update:
Finally after 7 months I got the bonnet (hood)up searching for the mystical 'shroud'.
Being a U C and after much gawping and head scratching,I finally managed to remove some plasticity bits to reveal what lies beneath.
Fortunately said rubbery shroud was in place,as Geoff had previously mentioned, this was perished at the tight angle points.
Removing this revealed the fuse box ,which thankfully after close inspection revealed no corrosion or condensation to the fuses or relays.
Other gubbins around this area also seemed clear of corrosion...so all looked good.
I did notice that the filter for the( I think it must be the HVAC)intake was pretty grubby,so I've given this clean and blow out with compressed air .
I have ordered some replacement butile rubber sheet from an online marketplace, size 2mx1m which is good for 2 replacement shrouds for 12 quid!(Heaven knows how much Lotus charge for this).
Using the original as a template,it should be easy to make a copy.
Anyway, for now,at least I know that the problem I had probably hasn't originated from the fuse box area.
Thanks to everyone for advice .

(Hope he's done a good job)

Al forgot the pictures.

I asked for the "rubber" shroud to be inspected as part of the service yesterday. The response when I picked it up "Yes its cracked, Lotus knows its an issue and they are working on it" What a joke.

For your electrical issues it sounds like a battery level issue. You say that it is driven every three days, this needs to be 30 minutes or more to replace the amount of charge used to start the vehicle.

The Poundland rubber shroud was perished on mine (three slits/cracks) and water had pooled on one of the connectors roughly where the passenger footwell is. Mine resulted in my windscreen wipers failing whilst doing 70mph in heavy rain, which certainly got my alert levels up 🤦🏻‍♂️

For your handbrake, this will need to go back to the dealer to get the e-brake and clutch readjusted. I’m literally sat here waiting for my Emira to be delivered back to me after having this done. The bonus is that you will get any updates that have been released installed as well.
