TL/DR
Yesterday, got in the lotus to head to my father's birthday part, and when I started the car, it took a really long time for the dash to come up. I had a progress wheels spinning on both the dash, and the infotainment displays, but it eventually came up. I figured it crashed and was rebooting. Not thinking much of it, I continued on my way, drove about an 1.5hrs, parked the car, and went in.
At night, when leaving is when I noticed the issue. No reboot spinning wheels this time. The infotainment was very sluggish with any button interactions either not happening at all, or extremely delayed. When I the car in reverse it switched to the rear view mode, but just a black screen.
When the camera is hidden while in reverse, there is an orange Park icon that if pressed brings up the sensor mode, with the same message, Parking System Unavailable.
The sensors still work, and audibly alert when getting close.
- Camera does not work, message indicating Parking system is unavailable.
- No DTCs listed with a code scanner. I have an OBD Link MX2+ that is capable of both high and low speed can bus work, checked both generic, and A and B bus, no codes present.
- Parking sensors still work and beep, and indicate on the screen, but no rear video feed.
- The car had been parked for about a week. The last I drove it was to a car show on the 8/30, no issues then.
- It had been parked without the tender plugged in.. usually I keep it plugged in but forgot to when I parked the car last.
- After parking it last night I put the battery on the charger all night (its a 4amp tender) it was charging all night.
- This morning, issue persisted.
- Disconnected battery, pressed start button for 30 seconds to force drain it.
- no change
- Disconnected battery, hooked battery charger directly to battery with negative terminal disconnected so car is disconnected.
- leaving it for hours till the battery reports fully charged
- Will reconnect after battery is fully charged and the car has been disconnected for several hours then retest.
