Silly question maybe. Are the speakers behind the seats supposed to to sound similar to the door speakers? Mine don’t seem to deliver anything apart from some muffled bass.
Hmm, I was hoping they had an issue as the system currently sounds very thin. I occasionally get a pop when opening the drivers door, but not when driving.

I know there's a subwoofer in the rear passenger side (N. American car with left hand drive) plus each rear side has a smaller speaker, which I assume is at least a mid-range (and perhaps tweeter combined). So 3 rear speakers and I saw them when I took my car apart, to add sound insulation material. As well, each door has a mid-range/tweeter combo. You can see the door grills and the speaker is directly behind them. With each "First Edition" having the "upgraded KEF audio system" many owners have been unhappy with the sound quality, so some are making changes, which is what Nova is referring to above. I'm amongst those who installed 1" tweeters in the A-pillar on each side, into the space that was designed for such a small tweeter, complete with a speaker grill (but left empty, for some reason), plus I installed a 10" Kicker subwoofer, which sits on the rear shelf behind the seats. The tweeter helps and the subwoofer makes a HUGE difference.
Others are spending +++ more money to upgrade their Emira sound systems. So some are replacing everything in the car, with an upgrade. A quick search on these Forums, will locate several threads that deal with this.
There's a shop in the UK which offers different levels of upgrade: anywhere from their cheapest package (about 1500 GBP) to their creme-de-la-creme package (about...GULP....68000 GBP, which is almost the cost of a new Emira!). Check them out:

All that said, you're unfortunately in good company, if you're less than impressed with the Emira OEM KEF system, although I've seen postings from other owners, who think it's just fine. I guess it depends on how much of an audiophile you are (?).

I know some people are saying the system isn’t that good but that popping thing you mention isn’t normal. I don’t get that. I do hear a really tinny sound though on some songs
The popping has been well reported before. Might be something to do with the sub getting power on/off. Possibly one of the software updates 'fixes' it.
