How's everyone thinking about the side pods on the 420? and aftermarket?
Body color < -- > CF?

iirc there was some mention in 420 press they said they add some more intake volume so there's some dude math there

The body lines are so sexy without them but they also look cool and aggresive

I think body colored side pods depend on the color of your car. I never really liked the vorsteiner ones initially because it looked too angular and too corvette like. I don’t know if these new ones are a little less angular but hopefully they are. The body color matching probably helps make it less angular to the eyes.

Anyway, I really like the new aero associated with the 420, especially the side skirts and front lip.

I like the original design much better. It's common when a sports car model evolves to keep adding aero, wings, scoops, etc., which often make a classically beautiful design look disjointed.

In this case, it interrupts the beautiful cove carved out of doors and rear fenders.

Never been a fan of these on the Emira, reminded me of C8's.

Are these double-sided taped on or screwed on?
718 owners can also add in the GT4 side scoops, and ones that opted to only use tape fell off on track

I'm kind of on the fence on the side scoops for the Emira, but I believe the side scoops on the 420 Sport are the best looking ones. The Vorsteiner, Hethelsport, and few others look too bulky and angled IMO.

I'm waiting for the aftermarket to clone them and sell to the public.

Honestly I think the side pods make the side profile much less dramatic
