I have full PPF an my vinyl installer has not had any issues with removal/re-installation affecting the underlying PPF.

Are there relief cuts normal and inevitable? My car is getting PPF and I dropped by to take a look at how it's going. This was behind the rear engine glass. Normal?View attachment 68960

I don't have any areas like that, my PPF is seamless, it's hard to even tell if it's been PPF'd until you actually touch it and feel the difference between the paint and the PPF film.

checked mine, it's the same. the xpel is laser cut to the car model, so I guess it's the same for anyone that has that model/brand of ppf
