I gather you spent $4400 ordering your preferred colour from Lotus then? Did you price out painting your original calipers instead?

I guess if you get $2000 out of the old ones, the price might be comparable and you have factory level paint.

Factory paint sucks big time especially the brake calipers, a few sessions of track time they are already faded. I have them repainted and last for over a year now.

While I agree on the overall paint job, my calipers (yellow) are actually fine after 5 track days and 36.000km. Got a 11/2022 build. What color were yours?

Red, I was told it is the worst color to maintain but I just love red calipers.

There was a broad range of costs to change the color depending on how the work is done. Everything from spraying it on the car to strip and powedercoat off the car (requiring rebuilding the calipers afterwards) of the caliper. I wasn't a fan of having it done on the car, and car guy math led me this direction. Figured there is value in the used calipers as either spares or to sell.
