Letter for software update (USA 2.0)

I dropped mine off today. Should have it back tomorrow and can report back. Also, they are doing the rear turn signal tail light harness fix for the turn signal intermittent error. You just have to make sure they have the harnesses in stock. They go through the rear wheel well to get to them. So, hopefully no major disassembly.
Eagerly waiting

I'll post tonight. I will pick it up around 5PM PST.

Got the car back, zero change in driving feel and or throttle response or anything else. So, all good. You get a certificate and a sticker on the door as well as electronic notification to the CA DMV. In theory, you don't need the certificate, but it's given as a precautionary measure in case the DMV doesn't show the electronic record.

Separately, the wire harness fix seemed to do the trick. No more intermittent turn signal error. Also, they get to it through the rear wheel liners. All work was very neat and tidy. Lotus of San Diego is my preferred dealer in case anyone wants to know.

Nice, any word from them about the DCT update?

Do you mind posting the sticker? I didnt get a sticker or any DMV forms. Wonder if I need another update. Galpin Lotus Los Angeles is my closest dealer.

I would just call the dealer. Also, I explicitly went in for this and the harness correction. So, they told me what would happen and verified when I picked up.

Went to Lotus SD too, they had my car for few weeks to diagnose gearbox malfunction but couldn't find anything and ended up just doing updates. Totally ghosted me on follow ups for details and DMV certificates after I picked up my car (service folks were not present). Not been thrilled with them.

Gearbox issues on an i4??? Do tell...

Oh no, it's for v6 auto (n). Haven't heard any issues with DCT!
That's what I thought. I ask, because there is no certificate for the DMV or anything else for your V6. The software Update letter that is at the heart of this thread is exclusive to the i4 turbo variant.

I got the same letter from Lotus though, so I presumed this affected all auto variants?

Not sure, the letter presented at the top of this thread (and mine) was specific to 2.0 i4 variants. Perhaps there is a separate campaign for V6 autos as well? When I called to schedule, I made reference to the letter and they knew exactly what needed to be done and told me about the sticker and certificate as well as an electronic filing with the DMV. Made it sound like they'd done a few already.

I would just ping your service writer and send him a copy of your letter to be explicit about what you received.

Yeah, all the service work (updates) are complete. Just still been waiting weeks for a response on the proof-of-correction cert for DMV, details, etc.
It is a diff campaign code but the "For California Customers Only" DMV notice is the same is all.

Likewise, I didn't receive a certificate or sticker when I got the emissions update done (Auto V6), and was uncharacteristically ghosted by my service writer when I reached out about it. I'll probably just bring it up again on my next visit.

So in California if you get pulled over, you don’t have proof you get a ticket? Two of my favorite things about TN, 1) All the great road. 2) No smog testing.

Nah, just risk of not being able to renew registration with DMV. It should be all reported electronically via VIN in theory, but who knows.

Is this the issue where you get a notification that your rear turn signal is out, and then the next time you activate the turn signal it goes away? Only happens once in a while?

correct.

Thanks!

Good to know there's a fix for it.

I'll be scheduling my 10k/1 year service soon. Other than all the software updates, and this issue, is there anything else I should be asking them to address?
