Two things: I think it's unlikely that the software updates for the V6 Manual (my car) are the same as the I4, but I could be wrong. And there may actually be some differences between 2024 and 2025 model years insofar as what updates they get. But, regardless of this, Eurocar let me know that it is not the download of the software, which they said was relatively quick. But rather when they loading the software update to the car. It's this part of the process they say they are staring a long time at a progress bar that is VERY slow. And FWIW I asked if this was Lotus specific and they said that's been their experience with Ferrari as well.
Maybe Vic was all talked out after my 1000 questions, but I would ask him directly about this.Hm, I just picked up my car today back from eurocar, and my invoice doesn't list any updates done, only the oil change and 1st year MPI. I was going to check which updates were done.... now I wonder if any were done at all.
was your updates listed in the invoice?Maybe Vic was all talked out after my 1000 questions, but I would ask him directly about this.
Yeah I don’t see any need for these SW updates. Maybe Eurocar just updates all emiras to the latest SW and isn’t selective about it. Would kind of make sense.Upon further investigation, the VDDM update is listed on NHTSA's website (https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2024/LOTUS/EMIRA#manufacturerCommunications) for the I4 only. So why was it applied to my car? Further, the CEM update is listed for cars without memory seats, so again, why my car? Seem neither of these software updates were really intended for my car. So why is Eurocar somehow showing my VIN needing these two? Ok, now I'm ranting......
