Here’s a 3dp shift knob keychain so you can be close to your car when you’re far away from it. 😂

Had a 1.5” thick headrest pad upholstered to match the custom tillet ones. They’re mounted on velcro so they tear off to put the custom tillet pads on for track days. I always felt the thin pads were a little weird for street driving. This is perfect now!

Made locally or where?

Shift knob profile was tweaked and finalized, accommodations made for the o-ring, and DarkWorks is getting some review of the CNC work required and quotes  hopefully soon (tm).

Very nice. So based on the pics showing the spring, this knob sits slightly higher than OEM, correct? Can you tell us how much higher?

This shift knob sits roughly 14mm taller than OEM, for reference the Type F shift knob from DarkWorks design sits roughly 24mm taller than OEM.

feels real good to shift also...

For diameter:

OEM is 46mm diameter
Type F is 48mm diameter
This new knob is 48mm diameter
Darkworks Big Round Knob is 51mm diameter

Is it easy enough to copy paste? I have similar feedback, and would consider just buying what you had done

Yeah, I gave them my spare tillet ones (not custom) and i told them I wanted 1-1.5” of foam, they ripped the fabric off the backing plates and built me one that matched the existing ones. I’d make sure you want 1 or 1.5” it might make a difference in your comfort. Have them help you pick what density foam to use too.

id think 1/2" would be sufficient.. im already pretty comfortable with mine, but i may be insane?

I have an I4, I dont need this, but I strangely want this :)
Could this be made to fit the Auto shifter too?

Haven't ever considered designing shift knobs for the automatics but if there's a market for them I'll see what could potentially look interesting. This particular design likely wouldn't translate well to the automatic seeing as there's nothing mechanical about it -- but hey some interesting designs out there to play with.
