Haha, I'm printing out a prototype, the only problem is I've managed to strip the grub screw in mine so I need to destructively remove the grub screw and damage a perfectly good type F knob to get the prototype on

Looks great. Maybe make the triangle openings look like the outline of the lotus logo? Kinda like what they did with the exhaust tip perforations, you know?

Darkwork Design was talking about getting some plated springs. Which interface is scratched?

The surface that the spring touches. I think this was scratched when I removed the knob and the spring rotated with it.

Nickel plating will resist scratches.

What are all your thoughts on this? I wanted to extend the see through action concept of the boot delete over to the shift knob itself by giving it some pockets.

That one is rendered with a replacement reverse lockout collar, the actual one is slightly different, a bit of polish and a new spring would make it look fine. The spring goes into the oem reverse lockout.

I modeled a reverse lockout replacement because the oem one has superfluous ridges that don’t matter anymore when you remove the boot. It would be optional.

This finish will be available on all wheels thru Darkworks Design, looks like liquid metal. It's a hand polished raw aluminum which is then matte cleared over, takes a bunch of time to finish.

Nah this one is 145g, Type F is 205g, stock is 115g, and Suntory’s big round boy is 165g.

The cutout design obviously is going to shed weight. I can maybe optimize and add about 10g more by removing some internal threading but that’s the limit.

Yes, comes down to material density. Also cant match al6060 with ss304 …
