After several Track days driven with automatic gears selection (Sport and Track Mode) in May and June, with no issues whatsoever, this week I experienced the following.
After a number of good normal laps (on the Dijon-Prenois circuit) suddenly, when I was full accelerating, the system did not upshift further and instead reduced throttle for a short while; then it allowed to resume speed. The amber malfunction lamp indicating (according to the Handbook) a fault in the vehicle’s emissions system appeared.
A check with an OBD tester showed: “Fuel rail / System pressure - too high”.
At restart, after a longer break, the malfunction lamp was no longer illuminated. So I went back on track, but after some laps the problem has arisen again.
The next day, on the transfer to Anneau du Rhin, no fault lamp, everything normal.
Then on track, I drove with manual gears selection, shifting up early before max RPM and could so do more then 10 Laps with no problems, until I missed to shift up in time and the aforementioned happened again.
Sorry for the long story, but I thought it might be important to tell the details.
Of course, I will bring the car to the dealer, but I wonder whether anybody out there has experienced such an issue and has an explanation and/or suggestion to it.
