I’m not sure many interior parts are from Proton.

Lotus had free access to the entire Geely group parts catalogue and I think most non-new parts have come from Lynk & Co, Volvo or Polestar. Geely only have a (large minority) stake in Proton so I don’t think Lotus would get the same access.

Didn’t someone post a thread a while back about all the Lynk & Co carryover parts?

All I can see is the screen and maybe the HVAC controls but I have no issues with them as they're decent quality

This primarily makes me wonder whether a wheel (round) from another Geely or Proton product can be retrofitted. Or even from Volvo.

I saw this exact same type of post when I bought my Maserati Ghibli almost 10 years ago. Many people, including reviewers, were pointing out how the switchgear is shared in Dodge vehicles, including the lowly Dart. I can't tell you how many people remarked to me, or even asked me if I knew, that the entertainment system is simply a re-skinned one from Dodge. I would mentally roll my eyes and politely acknowledge this fact.

I, for one, enjoy switchgear that is ergonomic and reliable. I never had a single issue with the switches in the Ghibli. That bespoke engine, on the other hand...

Agree with Nova. Having owned a new generation Volvo, I welcome borrowing from their parts bin. Rock solid reliability with proven parts is a good thing.
