I assume how long to get parts is a big factor, they provide a hire car while being repaired and many parts are 4 months+.I was with Admiral last year and it was £650. This month the renewal with Admiral was £1,100 - but no other company was able to beat this price.
I did also try a few bespoke insurers but they were a lot more.

Try Adrian Flux. Saved me a fortune compared to my renewal quote and also last years cost.Just received my insurance renewal quote from Hastings Direct, £820 to £1025! Did a run through Go Compare and the cheapest is £875, from RAC online (3 star reviews).
Can anyone recommend an insurer away from the online ones that may be cheaper and specific for Lotus?

Just renewed mine and almost exactly the same price for me with LV but 10k miles. Last year was about £460 so a nice reduction. I'm an old bloke living Suffolk with car locked in garage so that maybe helpsJust paid £364 with LV for 5k miles. Previously with Adrian Flux but their renewal came through at £461, a big increase on what I paid them last year, which was an absolute bargain at £247 !!
