Insurance renewal time.

Admiral multi car here, renewed in February, £501 for the Emira, £340 for a GT86 and £290 for an Audi estate, two us insured including business use, East Sussex.

I paid £499 last August with Swinton of all people. Including legal, 3,000 miles and protected NCB (9 years)

Hope it’s similar come this august.

Just paid £364 with LV for 5k miles. Previously with Adrian Flux but their renewal came through at £461, a big increase on what I paid them last year, which was an absolute bargain at £247 !!

Living in West Yorkshire looks to be an issue, that and a claim for my Cayman S burning itself out.

I was with Admiral last year and it was £650. This month the renewal with Admiral was £1,100 - but no other company was able to beat this price.
I did also try a few bespoke insurers but they were a lot more.
I have no idea why such a hike in price this year?
I assume how long to get parts is a big factor, they provide a hire car while being repaired and many parts are 4 months+.

I specifically turn off the courtesy car option as I have a other cars I can use (Elise and also my sons' cars) and I don't need to drive to work.
I think my insurance is high compared to others due to the milage, 15,000m/y is what I'm covered for. But it was that last year too - so still not sure what caused the increase - maybe there's been a spate of car thefts around here?

Also the hire car I had for a few days when my Emira was being repaired was covered by the warranty not by insurance.

Just received my insurance renewal quote from Hastings Direct, £820 to £1025! Did a run through Go Compare and the cheapest is £875, from RAC online (3 star reviews).

Can anyone recommend an insurer away from the online ones that may be cheaper and specific for Lotus?
Try Adrian Flux. Saved me a fortune compared to my renewal quote and also last years cost.

It's that time again. I was with Budget last year at around £500. Their renewal was £750! Just hit up the Meerkats and got it back down to £500 with Hastings. Insurance punishes the complacent.

Just renewed mine and almost exactly the same price for me with LV but 10k miles. Last year was about £460 so a nice reduction. I'm an old bloke living Suffolk with car locked in garage so that maybe helps :)

Yes, You need specialist insurers.
Try:
Adrian Flux: Tel: 0344 381 6502 ( they don't even insist on having a Tracker fitted )
KEITH MICHAELS PLC: Tel: 0208 329 1167 ask for Garry Mulson or Main Line No: 0208 329 1150

They were both considerably cheaper and have a common sense approach insuring you as an individual
I'm paying less than £600. with far better cover than others offered.

Sorry for the OT: Italy's quote for me is 3300€, roughly £2850.
I feel sad.
